I wanna see India vs. Afghanistan. I think that will be very interesting... but Afghanistan batting still very bad. Bangladesh had them on strangled for until the 40th over.

Even Rony negotiated RK's balls better than Shakib. He's not a no 3 batsman.

With this Afghan bowling, they can restrict any international team under 200 in Asia & Carribean.

Absolutely disastrous. Our women's team would have done better.

This whole tourney is suspect UAE bs.
You know what you are watching doesn’t make sense. Doesn’t add up.
Why does any team need to be in a rush to get out before 150 runs only God knows... and perhaps dawood ibrahim’s Betting syndicate.
Conveniently... this same afghan team will fall to pieces when they come out to Dhaka but that’s another story.
I would give Afghan props but I don’t quite believe the story they want me to believe.
I would question every storyline in this UAE tournament with a suspicious glance if I were you.
I know some bs was gonna go down when the lankans started dropping sitters three in a row that they can catch on their sleep.

This is Afghanistan's 4th largest win in ODIs ( by runs; 136)
Largest win against a top 8 team

If we all could get done with throwing a hissy fit that'd be great.

Hahahaha, I love it! Really want to have you on on the pod again soon, and discuss these points one by one. What you really mean that is..
Only that time is our biggest enemy, mine , Mufi's and Rinat's as well. Taking a break from work now, typing this.

Conspiracy theories notwithstanding, was expecting this. A sub par batting squad sans Tamim (braveheart) and Sabbir(his fault) got found out.
Mashrafe had the right idea to keep pace exposure to a minimum for as long as he could. Unfortunately Rashid played a blinder ably supported by Naib and took the game away. 190-200 would probably not have been as much of a psychological Achilles.
cheers,
Siraj

Let's wait until the end of the tournament before passing judgement on the team, and not overreact, yes it wasnt a good game but it was a dead rubber with important players missing and an important match to play next day, if they lose again to Afghanistan in next round then it will be disappointing

AFG are good enough to beat us, especially considering:
- Tamim, Mushy, Fizz out
- dead rubber
- travel schedule favored Afghan team more in this instance
And Lankans have been dropping sitters for a while now.

Lankans have been the worst fielding team for several years now. No betting syndicate required.
To your other point, these kinds of large scale conspiracies are hard to execute in this day and age. Spot fixing on the other hand...

There is no excuses for the loss apart from poor batting. Its clear to see Lollypop Liton lacks footwork. You cant except a person like that to open the innings.
Mominul is a lathergi and lazy player who is unfit to play white ball cricket.
Mossadek should not be in the team. He has no purpose!

All 5 teams are camped in Dubai and traveling forth and back. In the end of the tournament we'll be the ones that have traveled most but as of now, both of our teams have traveled for our group matches
And we too are missing our pacers Shahpoor, Dawlat, Hamid and Wafadar and our opening batsman Noor Ali Zadran.

A Bangladesh team without Tamim, Mushfiq, Fizz and a 25 percent fit Shakib is basically a Bangladesh A Team with Mullah and Mashrafe. We are heavily dependent on these guys.
It's not same as missing Zadrans or Dawlats or Hamid Hassan with all due respect. An equivalent comparison is Afghanistan leaving out Rashid and Mujeeb and playing a match.

Noor Ali Zadran is by far the best batsman we've produced. When Hamid played for us he was 30-40 % of our team. Dawlat is miles ahead of Aftab, who is in the team because of his brothers.
