if in the improbable event that we win this, they don't complain that the pitch was tampered with or something like that

Default *sigh*

What ? One of the worst (after the ones in West Indies vs some other team last year ?) pitch ever ? feels like it. Dhur, when I opened up cricinfo, I thought WHOA, 58 for 2 after 21. Goes to show how the WI batsmen matured after India tour (PS, they are not facing any real fasties here). We would have been all out for 21.

even after such a terrific start by bangladesh, you almost know WI will find a way to hit themselves to 250 before it is over.

Default Selection for dummies and ....

and of course, Rafiq bhai's "bowling changes for dummies" need to be shipped directly to the selector's and Pilot. Also, they both could use the "speech writing for dummies" series.
Coach Kamal probably need the chapter updates ("field test the wicket" and "brace your pace" - didn't anyone even try to bowl on the wicket before the match started to see how it reacts ?) for his "coaching for dummies" handbook. I saw him putting it down after the first match, looks like he might have to start reading again.

Default Durjoy

Unless he gets lucky and one of the awkward bounces get a nick, looks like Sham's observation on Durjoy's 'comeback performance' may stick. In case you missed it - Sham pointed out that Poweel would have whacked him just like the others. Fortunately for Morx, his overs were over before Powell got in the mood.

That's the last I'll write on Morx until he takes a wicket or something.

let's see, when one spinner doesn't work then what could we do? hmm... how about...try another spinner! we have so many!! but no, we should bowl naimur 10 straight - he will eventually get in sync and the dummies book they have been reading so far said "when a bowler has good figures in the first odi of a 3 match series, bowl him 10 straight in the second odi"

Default Dum dee dum dum dum

Rafiq bhai, I have a feeling you are almost half way through the next dummy series. Fortunately for you, by the time this is over, you'll have enough to fill volumes.

By the way, is the ball starting to rise up ? If I were this spinners (with their experience and talent) I'd take full advantage of the wickets. If we're gonna get blamed anyways, why not milk it ?

Durjoy shouldn't even be in the team. Sure he had the best figures in Chittagong, but when the selectors saw the wicket this morning, how could they not opt for Talha instead of Durjoy? Talha, with his relatively lively pace, would have done well on this uneven pitch. Durjoy on the other hand has given away 24 in 4 overs.

Default I see 250+

Now that the IWndies have recovered from the shock of being put into bat in such wicket, they are aiming for big ones.

8 wickets in hand, 20 overs left, two warmed up nats against a host of relatively toothless spinners. 250 is actually not a bad estimate. Now, if we had Talha in the opening, it could have been 4 for 80 or whatever but why get Talha when we could hand Ehsan the shiny red ball ?

You are right. Samuels and Sarwan are scoring freely now. They will get near 250 I think unless we can get two or three quick wickets here.

Default what happened this morning

aliul:

"pilot, go see the wicket"

pilot:

"na, jamu na, tui ja"

aliul:

"if you don't go i am going to make a statement to the press"

pilot:

"well, it doesn't say here in this dummies book that we need to look at the wicket, besides the sun is shining, what else do you want"

aliul:

"are shala, that's the old version. banglacricket.com is yet to ship the new version with updated strategies for bowling changes. our credit card didn't go through. for the last time, go out there and have someone bowl a ball or two"

pilot:

"kichutei jamu na. we announced the team yesterday, who cares what the wicket is like. rokon is playing well and i am thinking of selling my baridhara flat to him. so he must play. other than that, we have enough spinners to trap spiderman. door hoye ja amar shamne theke..."

hate to say this, I saw 58 for 2 when I came in and I saw a score of 250 on the horizon to begin with. Looks like I have to go back and kick myself for being so darn close again. *sigh*

(I expected 230-240 in the last match but you saw where that took us)

Default EGO

At least this will defuse the EGO TRIP some of the players and officials have been having after the first match. One 'no result' match and it was funny to see them all scrambling to take the credit for it instead of focusing on the wicket/match today. Even the BAD pitch didn't hold. Amader bhaggotai emon.

All the good work is wasted.

Default Hmmmmmm

| 2 1 . B1 1 . | from Ehsanul Haque Seezan

TAKE THAT YOU (Rafiq) DOUBTER.
Durjoy gets the credit for this one, Powell just got in so instead of 15 runs, it's 5 off of thisover.

Default Only good thing

Morx looks like he is focusing after the beating in the first couple of overs.

Why not 300 ?
Last match, 101 or 111 runs in 10 overs ?

Default Perfect

Powell needed a LIFE, he got it. Awesome.

(On Ehsan's defense, the guy hardly bowls, he won't have any idea what to do with a canon ball coming his way. If it was me, I would have ducked)

41.2 Ehsanul Haque to Powell, one run, dropped! smashed back to the
bowler, was a powerfull hit, the ball goes to the on side and the
batsmen cross over

Ehsanul Haque seems to be in trouble the magic spray is out

"There goes the opener?"
