no new ball?
can anyone enlighten me on why pilot never seems to take the new ball when it's due. he bowls a pacer and a spinner together right around new ball time. wouldn't the pacer fare better if he had a new ball at his disposal. or is pilot so resigned to containment that he thinks there is no point in running up the score with a new ball?

He forgets
He forgets that he has to score ducks in every match to keep up with the rest of his team mates. Same way, he forgets to take the new ball.
(Ek ahommok er pallai porsi bhai, good player, gives it his all but don't know jack about how to play his bowlers)
Here's from the commie:
101.4 Talha Jubair to Ganga, no run, gives it all - all he has, trying to get the extra pace going, ball keeps too low - well outside the off, Ganga leaves it alone where is the new ball? With Jubair bowling so well, Mashud should
take the new ball

100+ overs
Is this a joke ? How come our players and our selectors are so STUPID ? Did they all get head injury from all the bricks (need to be) from the stands ?
What's the point of making Talha bowl with the old ball ? PILOT is fixing to get this kids INJURED by making them bowl extra hard to get the OLD BALL to do anything for them. Am I right or am I right ? And they wonder why our pacers are either injured or BHOTA (toothless).
Even the Lees and Shoaib's can't do much with a 100 over old ball. GRRRRR.
(Containment in a test match ? Huh, I bet that makes sense to Pilot. Who needs wickets when the opponents can only score around 3 runs an over on way to 600+)

Record
I bet Pilot wants to make a world record by bowling with the oldest ball ever.

I think Pilot wants to collect each innings ball or at least as many possible. If he takes the new ball, he doesnt know where this ball will go. So he will just not take the new ball, that way, he can keep close eyes on this ball.

I think he was hoping for Enamul to get a wicket or something.. That's why he took it late. Old balls help out spinners right?
