Hello everyone!!
Came across this forum by chance (or rather by google), skimmed through a couple of threads and found it interesting Have been following more closely for a week now and is very much impressed by the level of civility (a rare phenomenon in a sports fan site) maintained by the members. So its time to promote myself form the observer status to a full fledged participant

A little bit about myself:
Male, 28 yo, software engineer from Kolkata. Was a Division 1 cricketer myself back in my school and early college days before finally giving up cricket due to studies.

Toured Bangladesh in 1997 (7th grade) as part of my school team. We played a couple of matches at BKSP (it had an astroturf pitch !! ) and one at Sunbeam High School. Remember the wonderful hospitality of the people and although we lost the series 1-2, it was a great overall experience

cheers.
