Default New Zealand vs. Sri Lanka First Test

This is NZ chance at getting back on the winning track.

The probably line ups are

New Zealand: 1 Craig Cumming, 2 James Marshall, 3 Stephen Fleming (capt), 4 Hamish Marshall, 5 Nathan Astle, 6 Lou Vincent, 7 Brendon McCullum (wk), 8 Paul Wiseman, 9 Kyle Mills, 10 James Franklin, 11 Chris Martin.

Sri Lanka (probable): 1 Marvan Atapattu (capt), 2 Sanath Jayasuriya, 3 Kumar Sangakkara (wk), 4 Mahela Jayawardene, 5 Tillakaratne Dilshan, 6 Thilan Samaraweera, 7 Farveez Maharoof, 8 Chaminda Vaas, 9 Rangana Herath, 10 Lasith Malinga, 11 Ruchira Perera.

This match i think all dpends on wheter NZ batsman can score big runs.

I hope Sanath Jaysuriya gets a double hundred in Newzeland. Loves to see his batting.

Newzeland might be down after the white wash by the Australia.

They really are. NZ are playing well considering they jus got hammered by Aussies. They came back well.

Well lunch has finally arrived and NZ are playing well. Currently at 379 for 5 with Astle 82 not out. There is a 60+ run current partnership. They are moving at a healthy run rate of just over 3 runs an over. Double that of SA in the WI vs SA match.

Hamish Marshall got his second test century and finished on 160. Fleming fell at 16. SL are really missing Murali. Malinga is there top wicket taker so far at 2 wickets for 78 runs.

to Marshall and New Zealand

At the start of the third day, SL are at 69 for 0 chasing a mammoth 561.

NZs top scorers are....

Hamish Marshall with 160
Nathan Astle with 114
McCullum at 99 (poor fellow....)
Franklin at 55
James Marshall at 52...

to NZ for their high score.

SL finish of at 498 chasing 561. In NZ's second innings Malinga strikes and gets marshall and cumming leavingNZ on 64 for 2.

LOL i had 8 posts in a row... Its like i am the only one who cares writing about this test. O well... Looks like is should tone down on the amount of posts.

OMG... NZ showing why they are not a good test team as they are slowly falling out of this test match. MAligna has 4 wickets for 48 runs as NZ are struggling at 148 for 7. Luckly for NZ they had a high first innings score and they currently have a lead of 211.....

Would be great if NZ lose. When the SL innings finished before tea yesterday, NZ had 63 run lead and a nice chance to setup a difficult chase in the fourth innings. What did they do ? They scored 64 in 30 overs and accepted an early light offer. Craig Cumming scored 16 in 73 balls. Some teams never change.

NZ slowly recovering. Vincent makes it to his 50. NZ 175 for 7 with Vincent and FLeming still on. They are 238 runs ahead.

Yes it is....

Well this test is a draw... MZ let their advantage go away by bowling poorly in the SL first innings.
