So that brings us back to the issue of national players having to learn on the job. Communicating with your partner and adjusting your game according to the demands of the situation are very basic skills that players should be acquiring at the school level.

Exactly. This is going back to basics of cricket that not only our national team players lack but the bangladeshi cricketers in general..tjis is going back 2 the the roots of cricket..they just don't get proper training until they reach the U-19 level and academy levels but by that time it is a bit 2 late..they should have qualified coaches for U13, U15, U-17 level in order for us 2 improve..i dont know about anywhere else but in my schools we had good coaches for each sport and would focus on fundamentals for most of the practice and then on game situations..fundamentals are absolutely crucial for cricket and these players dont seem 2 even have them..what can siddons do if our system is so flawed? He pretty much has 2 teach them how 2 hold a bat the way 2 bat properly..this is just not acceptable and as 1 NZ commentator said, if we do not improve our domestic infrastructure then we are just going 2 see little improvements in the national team but never a drastic change in our cricket..

The centuries and 50's look nice but the team totals, inablity to bowl out a team (only once in 8 innings) and opponents contiuously scoring 400+ at will is a concern.

same in ODIs. The individual scores are not result in imposing totals and the RR is nothing to be proud of. The opponent batting RR against us however is in par with the modern game.

Kinda funny to see Shahadat is currently our 6th top scorer in Test matches.

IMO, Jahurul should be given a chance in the next Test in place of Imrul or Aftab.

Its an interesting loop. Can't get the calls unless we win more, Can't get the wins without the calls.

Looking forward to at least a draw in this test. Not a win, but gets us something to show on the board for the year.
