The Pakistan cricket Board is apparently working on a strategy to convince the ICC and its member nations to send their junior and second-string national sides to Pakistan on regular basis.
The strategy is part of the PCB's plan to take small steps at a time to get back proper international cricket to the country.
No foreign team has toured Pakistan since militants attacked the Sri Lankan team in March 2009 at Lahore, killing six Pakistani policemen and a van driver and wounding five of the visiting players.
Since then, foreign teams have avoided touring Pakistan because of security concerns and the Afghanistan team became the first foreign side to tour Pakistan last week since that attack.
"In June, we are also going to host the Bangladesh under-19 team as part of our attempts to work towards reviving international cricket in Pakistan," a board official said.
The national selectors are due to meet next week to finalise the Pakistan junior team and the Pakistan A side for a six-nation T20 tournament in Malaysia in July.
"We see a glimmer of hope after the series against Afghanistan passed off without any incident and there were people keen to come to the ground to watch the matches," the board official said.

Not a wise move. Bombs are going off everywhere in Pakistan on a daily basis killing scores of innocents. If Pakistan cannot provide safety to its own citizens, how can they provide safety to foreigners?

Ya I agree with you. Pakistan is just not a safe place right now. Even Pakistanis are saying its a very bad idea to go to Pakistan now. There is just way too much violence going on. It would be a great experience for the boys but unfortunately its just not safe. BCB should invite them to play in BD instead.

do the BCB have any brains at all? IMO, the players should refuse to tour. invite Pak here instead. how on earth will the BAL government allow this tour? they need to step up and be anti-pak the one time its actually in our welfare.

Why on earth you want to throw under 19 kids in such chaos and life threatening situation ? These kids will be terrified by the bombing news every now and then. Old blokes are refusing to go there, and you decide to send young kids over there ? God forbid, if anything happens, who will take the blame ? I think parents of these should come forward and refuse to send their kids over there. Not a wise decision.

I agree. The tour should be postponded. I wish every country plays cricket there in Pakistan so that bias will not prevail. But it is just not safe there at this time.

Gotta feel for the Pakistani cricket fans who wish to watch some cricket in their backyard like the old days. Nonetheless, like everyone has already affirmed, way to risky to send our national team, let alone our kids, down there. I sure hope it hasn't actually been confirmed.

Your moronic self intelligence [on '71] is a total disgrace to BD nation and her people. Dont ask why, I guess you earned it in last few days.

Agree. We don't want to lose our talents. In this situation where Osama bin laden just died.
