Ashraful captain? LOL.

Either Riyad or Malik should be captain of Chittagong. Shakib should definitely captain Khulna. The other teams have probably picked the best man for the job, although Barisal could have gone with Shubho.

Well Nadim the way the news are rolling in about players availability means the team that have the maximum number of player available through out the tournament will do well.

Beside your fav Nur will destroy everyone.

Barisal because:

1) Shahriar Nafees (c)
(2) C. Gayle (WI)
(3) Y. Arafat (pak)
(4) B. Hodge (aus)
(5) A. Sehzad (pak)
(6) Hamid Hossain (Afg)
(7) Ramiz Raza Jnr (pak)
(8) S. Shuvo

Above, they are 'good and reliable batsmen'....bowlers Hamid (that I like the most in the team because he is one of the dangerous pacers in the sub-continental enviornment), Gayle, Shuvo, Hodge and Sehzad are enough to break through and burn the others.

At least, Hamid is enough to take Ash's helmet off and bang on Aftab's head.

Take out Gayle and the team doesn't look as strong anymore does it? People should remember that he's only available for about 2 games.

Am excited to see Hamid Hossain though.

just thinking if Gayle makes between 0-9 in two matches that he will be playing...what will be the impact on the owners of Barisal Burners as he is the highest paid cricketer now after Afridi has withdrawn himself from BPL

I blv Khulna Royal Bengals so far made a balanced side...with a fair batting attack with H.Gibbs, S.Jayasuria, Nasir Hossain, Chanderpaul, N.O Brien and Sakib..with good bowling attack starting from pace with Fidel Edwards and and in spin division with S. Jayasuria, Sakib, Razzak and specialist all rounders like Sakib, Jayasuria, Andre Russell, D.Smith,

To me, all the teams are close...Khulna may not perform well because of too much pressure on shakib and Dhaka has two kufa players ( for now - and one's head is thebla because of a harikane'r bari by his bharatia) - Ash & Aft.

from ci -
Dhaka franchise seems to be one of the more balanced sides in the competition along with Chittagong, while many praised the Khulna picks too. "I think Chittagong are the strongest and Dhaka are equally strong," Athar Ali Khan, advisor to Duronto Rajshahi, told New Age.

but what does athar know?

Khulna has a very balanced side. And I'll put them ahead of Dhaka. Chittagong has a formidable side as well.

[QUOTE=zsayeed;"I think Chittagong are the strongest and Dhaka are equally strong," Athar Ali Khan.....o[/QUOTE]

Strongest and equally strong...what does that mean? Isn't it the same thing?
So what the heck he was doing for Rajshahi while others are building "strongest" teams.
He is useless in everything! Hopefully I don't have to listen to him at least in BPL...

Some really big name players out there.
So Coaching staff might make a difference...
It's T20, so smarter you are, better off you will be..
Having said that Pilot might outclass Stuart Law.

ha ha ha true !!! I think Atahar was just too excited.. But I like this man..though his commentary is very funny and at times annoying ( my words)!!! He seems like a simple guy and a very passionate cricket personality of BD !! Better than many other ex cricketer who are just involved in petty politics !!

I would say Khulna only if they had another quality fast bowler with Edwards.

Ashrafull will doom Dhaka
Khulna is favourite - so they will choke
Sylhet and Rajshahi are So So
Barishal can be the dark horse and most likely play the final

Now everybody can bow the KING - inaugural BPL T20 champion: Chittagong
