Its England that is left.
Last month we won against WI and thus we have defeated all the teams in ODIs except England.I think this Zim tour and Odis that will be played at home later against them would be a good preparation for beating England in 2010.I hope we can beat them and acaheive that feat of defeating all nations in ODIs.

Everytime there's a thread in BC, people jump on the bandwagon to start rating them.
IMHO, this rating feature can really get nasty.

I agree. Most of the time when I opened a thread, someone within a few seconds gave me "Laal Batti"
I agree with the thread opener.. England is the only country left to beat. We couldn't beat them in any format as of yet. We will win in the February inshallah. Our spinners will crash them!!!!

Best rating is not to reply to them. Ignoring is the ultimate cold shoulder. Many times I thought I'd put in suggestion box that if there is a bad thread don't reply to it. Because all these red ratings make the forum look ugly.

Dear Naz bhai, I bumped up the thread rating from 2 red down to a green up!!!
But seriously, this is a good and very important discussion! We really need to to lay out solid strategies and plans to defeat the English. This gives a very uncomfortable itch that England evaded a defeat by us yet when we managed to bag everyone else for at least once!
And who needs to remind me about the chaamchika back-stabbing, double dealing, farce, shameless, robbery in broad daylight in Murshidabaad - Battle of Plassey, thus death of my mother!!!
Hey, Karma is not a beach! What goes around, comes around! Wait Union Jack sh!t, it's coming! This time you won't even know what hits you, the bat or the ball, no cannons needed!

heres where we stand
Country Matches Wins Losses Tied NR %
v England 8 0 8 0 0 0.00%
v Pakistan 25 1 24 0 0 4.00%
v Australia 16 1 15 0 0 6.25%
v New Zealand 14 1 13 0 0 7.14%
v South Africa 13 1 12 0 0 7.69%
v Sri Lanka 26 2 24 0 0 7.69%
v India 19 2 17 0 0 10.53%
v West Indies 16 3 11 0 2 21.43%
v Zimbabwe 39 19 20 0 0 48.72%
v Canada 2 1 1 0 0 50.00%
v Kenya 14 8 6 0 0 57.14%
v Ireland 4 3 1 0 0 75.00%
v Bermuda 2 2 0 0 0 100.00%
v Hong Kong 1 1 0 0 0 100.00%
v Scotland 3 3 0 0 0 100.00%
v UAE 1 1 0 0 0 100.00%
A 4-1 this series puts us at 50% with ZIM. We've only played ENG 8 times so a win at home will bring us up.
We should start targeting nations to get the big ones to as close to 50% as possible.

Btw, if you win 5-0 and the first 3 against ZIM in Oct, we will have the 2nd longest ODI streak in history. AUS has a 21 streak in 2003, followed by SA with 12 in 2005

I would like to believe that we have moved past being white washed at home for any 3 or more game ODI series by any country.

we are capable of not getting whitewashed...but won't bet on it not happening again. we are a very streaky/inconsistent team still. 2 bad losses might jsut be enough to get us back to getting 180 all out days with Mushy and mash being the highest scorers with 30

ok someone please explain why is getting beaten at home much much worse than away. Is it because the players are more familiar with the weather/conditions?

Pakistan too. Other than one quiet win10 years ago, albeit some say very controversial, we haven't done anything against them. Nothing would please my cockles than a whitewash against Pakistan.

Yup. My cockles will be most gratified by a win against our nemesis from the West.
