BDFlag New Social Circle

Hi All,

My first post, so please dont bite . I was just wondering if there are any Bengali brothers living near Stratford, East London as I don't have many Bengali friends and would like to create a new social circle with my own kind.

No offence to other ethnic groups as I have enough friends from your background. I am a 28yr old living near Stratford and would like to meet British Sylheti's (only because I can communicate both in English and in the Sylheti dialect).

Thanks

This is no dating site. All the girls have left because of iDumb.

People, do something with your Sylheti brother!!! Show him the ropes. Did he complete his questionnaire before opening a thread?

Easy Tiger.
I don't judge people. Orphy likes boys as well. He is going to visit London soon for the WC.

Welcome to BC. I was just playing. Hope to see you around. There are lots of East London Sylhetis here. They will show up soon. Join us in the Cricket section while the game is going on.

FYI Alot of Non Sylethis living in UK should be able to communicate in English as well. Especially the ones that come to this forum.

What, just because I want to meet people who speak sylheti, I become a difficult person? You know nothing about me to make that assumption, if you don't have anything nice to say, then keep quiet and refrain yourself from making unnecessary comments on a thread you're not interested in. Pathetic!

Lolz. Let me apply the same logic: "You know nothing about me to make that assumption, if you don't have anything nice to say, then keep quiet and refrain yourself from making unnecessary comments"

welcome to BC. How old are you? If on the older, try going to the local mosque. If younger, try meetups, professional networking events, etc.

When I visited London, some of my friends took me to asian parties/bollywood nights, etc. you could try to find those as well.

try meetup.com, you might be able to find BD specific events. For professional events, reach out to your college for asian/bd specific groups. Or you can look for groups to join on linkedin. see if they have groups for asians in your industry, and thats usually the place where networking events get posted.

Back in my banking days, i used to get a lot of emails for asian american networking reception, etc. Im sure similar things will exist in the UK.

lol, I am so so sorry!! bdesh tiger.

My uncalled for response has opened a can of worms. That was not my intention. Just to have some jokes and fun. These days BC was getting boring so....

Lets start new. My name is T_E. People call me dada bhai. I am almost double your age. I love this website. I am not a Sylheti. Now I have never been there. Would like to visit someday. Adam, Yankees, iDumb - all nice folks here once you get to know them.

you will go very well with the British sylheti people here

and by the way what is British Sylheti? should it not be British Bangladeshi? you dont see people from other area's of BD calling them British Nowakhailla/British Chatgaya/British Borishallia...all of them are British Bangladeshi, why are you people British Sylheti? when Sylhet itself is not a country but a state of a Country.

everywhere its italian american or spanish canadian etc..not rome american or madrid canadian

What about a “Bengali Brother” being a “British Sylheti”. The rest are probably Dhakayeees .

Sadly alot of the Sylethis are in this complex bubble in this country.

Why is the attitude of sylheties like this? Koik din por por notun public dhukey. Last time it was some british sylheti looking for american sylheti girl with fair skin and some other rubbish racist request. So far i am getting a horrible impression of sylheties based on what i have seen in this forum. Pathetic.

Not all are like this. However many ones in UK are quite tribal, which I have learnt to understand. But their negative attitude towards non Sylethis are quite vulgar IMO. I have never realised or felt that there are different grades of Bangladeshis until I came to the UK. You specially feel this when you go to East London.

I wonder whatever happened to that stud looking for a gal.

How do you know this poster is a Sylheti?
This is like a troll, acting to be a Sylheti.

Is it to hard to guess? Someone is playing around.
