What i don't understand is how you can get confused when a news article starts as follows:

BRIDGETOWN, April 20: Former South Africa captain Ali Bacher on Friday said ......

I must say it's quite interesting to miss that amount of detail

Well, to be fair, David Hasselhoff above got it wrong too - I typed "Basher", not "Bashar". So I got the c wrong, while he got the a wrong. I was being gracious and didn't want to point it out.

do you think ponting will ever get a farewell like lara got? no matter how many runs ponting scores before retiring (being a cricket legend only in the books) I think ppl will think twice before clapping for ponting (ofcourse outside Aus)....

i think thats where ponting is heading....

P.S: not being jealous of the Aussie team or anything, cuz everyone knows they are the best, but its those small things like arrogance & gracefulness that makes someone a legend....

Ponting's a hard nut, but he's pretty tame compared to Steve Waugh. Some of the stuff Waugh used to say about SA was pretty heavy.

I have no issue on jabbing away with your equals. I have issues when you try to pin down someone who is almost handicapped and still keep pounding (with mouth). Those handicapped ones look up to you, cherish the touch (autograph). They need encouragement not bashing.

We may not like him but he talks the talk backing it with walking the walk. You can take that to the bank.
