Ashraful\'s 50 is on fastest 50 list
Its 13th fastest half century. If Ashraful could make 100 in less than 62 balls(he would probably, if he was not out), it would have been 5th fastest century in the world, and 1st fastest century against England by any player ever.

He could just slow down and scored his century. He would have been a rare cricketer to score century on consecutive matches.

I just looked the list again, it seems stupid cricinfo made another mistake. They listed Ashraful as playing in England team against Bangladesh.
They are accustomed to write all the bad record agianst us. So, by habit once again they wrote this fastest 50 against Bangladesh.

It's the 5th fastest actually, since there's many 21 ball 50 scorers

8th fastest because there were 7 occurances of a quicket fifty being scored. Also the record for tests is 24 balls so it's fair to say
Mohammad Ashraful has the 8th quickest fifty in 128 years of international cricket

No he did do the right thing. He was thinking of his team and not of his century. This attitude is what's needed in our cricket. I am totally OK with this.

Afridi scored the 50 in 18 balls, doesn't mean he scored the whole lot of 102! 102 is the amount of runs Afridi scored in that innings, while 18 balls means he scored the first 50 runs in 18 deliveries.

He is 11th on the list for fastest 50.
If he was patient enough for score 6 more runs to finish the century, it could have been the 5th in fasest century.

Great Innings by Ash. One of the top 3 entertaining ODi innings by any BD batsman.
