1-0 coming up....

team should go for real fishing, that seems to be their mode of batting.

Curious to see how Shourobh approaches this innings. Will he counterattack as he did with that 181, or would he be more circumspect as Tamim's battery continues to lose power?

Ata wants Tamim to play a "long innings" ...

Good thing we bat deep. Shakib, Mushfiq and Nasir are all due decent scores.

There is a reason batsman take it slow in Test cricket and not go all guns blazing just because there are wide gaps. It is because they know the bowlers want the batsman to go for the drives, get a few boundaries, and then nick one to the keeper or slips.

We still can draw the series - just bat like test, not T20 - it is simple as that!

Good batsmen do not take it "slow" or "fast" during tests. They try to play each ball according to its merit without premeditation, and execute high percentage shots while rotating the strike. The high percentage shots range from a good leave to a solid block to a nudge to a drive. That way they don't get bogged down.

The RR is less in tests because unlike the shorter formats, there are no restrictions tilting the game in the batsmen's favor, and that -- not some poorly formulated, archaic, ignorant and sissy idea -- is the reason why very few batters score quickly in tests.

Something should be done....
Team MGT must force the players to put a value on their wickets -

Can someone tell Athar that 2007 is history. Most of these players were not even involved.
