If Hong Kong upsets Bangladesh...
Canada did, they were not supposed to, at least in a hundred years.
Can Hong Kong repeat that? Just want to find out about the "great"ness of the hong kong cricketers. Especially when a certain Mr. Sharma is captaining Hong Kong in place of a Mr. Cheng, Bangladesh may come up against a India 'E' team. Can Bangladesh even dream about defeating India 'E' team yet?
Wishful thinking I know...

If you were to watch a Canada vs Hong Kong one day match, I'd say Canada would win by at least 100 runs to be fair?
I'd say more but thats getting wishful :-) 100 is realistic.
Our only worry is if the match gets RAINED OUT! Now that'd *SUCK*!

If the country that invented cricket and has been playing test matches for 125 years is captained by Mr. Hussain then fledgling cricketing nations are likely to be captained by the compatriots of Mr Hussain atleast till the homegrown talent picks up the game.

Mr. Hussain is British despite the name and what not. Mr Sharma looks like he was brought up in India and left India only few years ago. Anyways, that's a moot point. You prolly know as well as I do that you can't compare any test teams to teams like Hong Kong, Canada, USA etc.
Hong Kong is a VERY weak side. They do have some expats from the subcontinent but they would struggle to get into India or Pak E. They recently went down to two of the asian associate sides in the acc trophy.
By the way, we can easily beat India E, it's the A and B that we'd have some trouble to deal with.

Why the associate members have internationals
I was reading on the ICC site the other day about player eligibility.
For full members they must be born in the country or be able to attain a passport and not have played test cricket for another nation for 5 years years
The associate members just have to prove that they are trying to make a positive contribution and are the tiniest bit from that country to improve their chairman of selectors. Something along those lines

In case of games against ICC Associates like Hong Kong, we may think like an ICC Associate, that we were, only a few years before.
For example -
1. At the ICC Associate level, most of our batsman's batting average is over 30, while their batting average is just over 20 in case of One Day Internationals
2. At the ICC Associate level, our best bowlers are destructive, given the situation of the pitch - (example - Khaled Mahmud, Mohammad Rafique in the past).
3. Teamwise, as has been discussed in this board, Hong Kong is an ACC team, that is, they rank somewhere in the 20s (22/25); so relatively weaker a side than other ICC Associate teams like Canada, Holland (somewhere between 12 to 15 in the ratings).
