A friend of mine went through the whole effing town wearing lungi. His video's on Facebook...went to grocery, restaurant, and so on. Not sure where...he's in the UK.

Really, which part of Sylhet? My dad is from Habiganj but I grew up in Dhaka.

Has anyone noticed the trick of discovering if a lunghi wearer grew up in BD or the West?

If a man wears a lunghi from over his head (like a t-shirt) he was most likely born and raised in BD. If a man wears a lunghi through his legs (so like trousers), he is likely to have been born and/or bred in the West.

Trust me, it works every time...
