ditto. 2010 is going to be big. world cup prep year as well, except unlike 2006 we played just minnows all year long. tour of NZ, 2 series against England, sounds like a good thing going. hopefully we can get that 5 match series with PAK in this year.
BCB must arrange at least 3 series against NZ/WI each calendar year. and if not, should convince them for 5 ODI and 3 test series at least once every couple of years.

we will go at least 7/8 months without playing ZIM (unless both of us qualify for the 2nd round in the WC T20).
Not sure I can handle the withdrawal.

We better get our A team or the H-P team ready. With back to back tours, there will be players who will be injured or out of form.... We definitely need the backups for all areas including wicketkeeping.
Imagine 3 of the players from the currrent national team getting injured ( other than Zunaed/Ashraful/Raqib)... An absence of Tamim/Sakib/Mushfique/Razzaque definitely exposes the team's lack of depth. But we should keep the team ready for the long back to back series ( India/SL, New Zealand, England) all in a span of 2 months!!

"Official" is what "India" says.
I dont think India will be coming. BCB is better off with a back up plan right now.

Monga on the state of the Indian squad: http://www.cricinfo.com/indvaus2009/...ry/434266.html
If they lose to Sri Lanka at home and then we can manage to beat them in the first game in Mirpur, they're going down baby down this winter. Since they're already down on the ground, let's kick 'em and send 'em beneath.

Busy 2010 for Tigers
Sports Reporter - The Daily Star
The Bangladesh cricket team will have a busy schedule next year as revealed by the home schedules released by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Thursday. The season will start with the tri-nation tournament involving India and Sri Lanka in January.
Sri Lanka will arrive in Dhaka on January 1. India is scheduled to arrive on January 2 to take part in the tri-nation tournament, which will be followed by a two-match Test series against the Tigers.
All the day-night matches of the tri-nation tournament will be held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium.
After the tournament India and Bangladesh will travel to Chittagong to play the first Test at the Zohur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium starting from January 17 while the second and final Test will be held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur from January 24 to January 28.
