North South University of Bangladesh

Do u guys know about this university? Any information will be appreciated.

in uttora.
pretty expensive.
good quality among bd private varsities.
Many students admitted their with the hope of becoming computer engineer, and then found out (after being admited)that they only honors in computer science, not engineering. this was 4 yrs ago, dont know if they changed it or not.

Actually its (NSU) in Kemal Ataturk Avenue, Banai-2. Its in a building called Star Tower, opposite another university AIUB (American International University Bangladesh). NSU is considered the best private university in BD. Almost all of the students are from rich and affluent families....so it exhumes of so-called "posh" flavor. BBA and MBA degree from NSU are considered second to only degrees from IBA (Institure of Business Administration, Dhaka). CSE degree from NSU is not worth mentioning. For engineering - Ahsanullah university, Asia Pacific University and East West university are better among all the private universities.

Asia Pacific & East West better for engr. !!!!

come on man....wake up.... Asia Pacific is a bogus uni. East West is good for its BBA.

AIUB (former Ama) has reputation among private universities for computer univesities.

They've perticipated in programming competetions and got place just after BUET.

But a few days back we have competetion of game programming in which AIUB took first and second place and our BUET team was third.
***The team from BUET was the champion in national programming competetion and represents bangladesh in ACM world finals twice.

but i don kno y it doesnt hav their own campus???

i heard two-three yrs ago tht they r moving to Bosundhora......isnt it true??/

Stamford university is probaly the first among the Privates to start with a campus of its own.

Among the Already Reputed ones... North-South & Ahsanullah University r gonna build their campus soon... they hav already finalized Architectural designs of their campus through National Competitions.

I get the idea. Hmm...in Bangladesh such university....shouldn't be such university....but still what kinda students usually go there? I mean I know that most of them probably from wealthy family but what kind of students? I mean itz just a private uni. so I can't expect top students to be there, I mean tops are always be in BUET, medical or DU, right?

yes tiger fan

students who can't get into buet, medical or du normally go there.

however, there are a few people who go there because they actually prefer getting their degree from a private university.

and there are others who do prefer completing a few terms here and then transfer to a university abroad.

in any case, the "public" universities are way better.
