Thats quite a beat down! Pakistan, as we all know, usually has a pretty strong Academy side as well...

Where did this come from, though? I wasn't even aware of this tournament!

Default Asif’s hat-trick helps BD side win (DAWN News)

KARACHI, April 19: Asif Ahmed scored a hat-trick and later scored 74 runs while Mohammad Furqan captured four wickets as Bangladesh Institute of Sports (BKSP) U-19 team started their tour of Pakistan with a success recording a seven-wicket win over National Bank of Pakistan at the NBP Sports Complex here.

NBP batted first in the match and put on board 184 runs before they were all bundled out in 39.4 overs.

Left-handed batsman Majid Khan (48 not out) and Umer Siddiq (46) batted well for the home side.

The most significant event of the match was the hat-trick from Asif Ahmed in the last over of NBP’s innings to shadow Mohammad Furqan’s impressive 4-29 bowling figures.

BKSP easily achieved the target in 37 overs with seven wickets in hand.

Asif Ahmed batted brilliantly, scoring a 74-run knock coming off 93 balls. Tariq-ul-Islam (45) also batted well for the victors.—PPI

Asif Ahmed is a huge prospect for our cricket

He made his debut in FC for Barisal this season and scored 2 hundreds in the 2 matches he played, amassed 258 runs @ 64.50!

he was part of Bangladesh U-15 in 2008 and don't know why he missed out on the last U-19 World Cup. The team suffered badly in the batting department. He could have changed the fortune of the team

This kid is unbelievable! Dont forget he averages 65 in our domestic league (albeit off just 2 games)...

A star in the making...

It might be a little early (ok, REALLY early), but I have a feeling Hom, this kid, Shakib, Mahmudullah and Tamim are all going to be a part of our first all-world national team 5 years from now...
