Not sure if there's any other batsman that's out there that can bat at #3 or #4. We might as well add a bowler who can bat a bit. He will probably score more runs than Junaid and Aftab anyway.

He is a great fielder. Very agile in the field. He stopped some with acrobatic style.

My boy Shuvo just showed the rest of the team how to bat during powerplay. Now watch him rip the England batsman apart.

I missed Shuvo's bowling yesterday as I had to go to college but I just watched the highlights and I wasn't really impressed. His spin lacks bite. Maybe it was the nerves on debut or because the ball was wet but I don't think he justifies the hype he has carried for all these years. So we can't blame the selectors for not picking him all this time. But now that he has been picked I think he deserves a fair run in the team. Although personally I think Naeem can become more of a threat as specialist spinner.

Shuvo finished with a much better economy rate than Naeem Islam. If only Shuvo bowled the full 10 overs in the 2nd ODI the game could've been even tighter and we would've won. I knew at the time Shakib made a big mistake only letting him bowl 3 overs and the 3rd ODI proved it.

Whats wrong with Mahmudul Hasan - ? I think he might be a better long term prospect to challenge Naeem Islam.

Shuvo so far is bowling too fast to extract good turn from the pitch. Someone needs to tell him to slow down. Unfortunately, Salahuddin is not around to guide the rookie.

He Bowls like Paul COllingwood, except it's slower and he has a hitch.
Just based on a games, I can tell he picks up his wickets, when players play the sweep shot, maybe on Sri Lankan Pitches he can get that extra movement to induce edges but not on the really slow pitches that we play on.
He can somewhat hold a bat (meaning if you need 20 odd) ala Rajib but he's no specialist batsmen, since he can't put away the wide stuff, don't let the 14 of 6 fool you, it was 2 scoring shots on terrible balls.
Siddons will work on him, improve his batting

don't forget nasir hossain and the leg spinners shabbir rahman and nur hossain. but we should give shuvo his chance, he more than deserves it based on domestic performance and he may have captaincy potential.

current options would be shabbir, nur or alok. either 2 rookies or a veteren who struggles to perform. but we should give shuvo a few matches because he deserves it.
