Many fans abroad know about BD cricket because of Ash.

And I found it amazing how the crowd started cheering, no, roaring, every time Ash made a run once he got past about 20 or 30. Was it just my imagination? Seems like they really wanted to see something special for Ash. They all believed in him. Bangladesh def still has a lot of Ash supporters. Just that with some its love-hate.
And overseas, Ash is pretty much the only Bd cricketer anyone can remember. Unfortunately a lot of them also know about his low average...hope it improves every day.

It's funny how once Ash is under pressure for his place, he performs. Correct me if im wrong, didn't he do the same when he got left out of the team and then he went on to score a domestic double hundred? It's a great testament to the way our batting has improved that we can keep out two on form batsman with a lot of international experience and decent averages. Having said that, I BET YOU ASH WILL SCORE LESS THAN 40 IN HIS NEXT 2 INNINGS!! You mark my words.

His place is not in any danger. He hits a 50+ score in every 3/4 games. How many players doing so in our team?

Mods should come up with a color code based on frequency of key words' usage much like threat code used in US. I feel right after the loss of BD, the whole BC is in panic state of code red. Sheesh...it's only a game. We all really need to chillax and stay hopeful for the next one.
Go Bangladesh 2010 !!

Perfectly said without the 50 match part. May be next 20 match. If he performs he remains otherwise treat him as any other player. And I think he will do better day by day and eventually learn how to combine the attack and deffence effectively.
