Tamim: F : His style has been ruined. Looked like a fool almost everytime he got out. He might want to try to return to his old style and just stick to T20s. He is our biggest disappointment of this world cup (expectation/delivery).

Soumya: D : The new AshraFOOL with the bat. Only upgrading to a D because of his bowling.

Mushy: D : A few good performances with the bat, but no one will ever forget his moments of utter stupidity in this WC.

Liton: C : One great performance, then just average.

Mithun: F : No need to say anything here.

Mullah: C+ : A bit of batting here and there, but mostly a passenger in the tournament. What happened to his bowling?

Shabbir: C- : Fielding mistakes against Australia cost us a lot. Did okay with bat against India, but nothing remarkable.

Mosaddek: C+ : A bit of good batting, some okay bowling, did nothing too special other than the first match.

Miraz: C- : Mostly ineffective on such pitches. Still, he was economical at times.

Saif: B- : Showed great intent at times with both bat and ball, but gives away too many extras/runs and fielding mistakes here and there.

Fizz: B+ : Did well at the death in a few matches, but not super economical at times. Still, he got some wickets and thwarted acceleration by the opposition a couple of times. But... we can't have a star bowler who's pretty much only good with the old ball.

Rubel: D : I guess he was okay with what chance he got. But... whatever.

Mash: D : Wasted a spot in the team. He was economical now and then, but mostly got hammered. I would have been fine with someone else as captain and another all-rounder in the team instead of Mash. Ultimately, Shakib gave us hope in the tournament, not Mash.

Shakib - No need to rate. He reaffirmed his place as a cricket legend. If he was only playing for Bangladesh at a time when the rest of the team was even just above average, he would be a world champion. Put him in any of the top five teams (including Pakistan), and they would win the WC for sure.

Only shakib gets top grades with A+, And Mustafizur gets A. Liton a 3rd place with a B, because of his 90 odd to chase 322, todays 30 looked good. Rest with the bat? F for failed. F being the worse grade, for my judgement here. So I’ll give rest a F. Maybe I’ll give the young ALR SAIF a C bowled well at sometimes, got a WC 50, has decent yorkers but a runs leaking machine. Then again what can you expect when you put a youngster in the firing line who is a ALR, not proper genuine opening pacer, more like 5th or 6th bowler who can give you 5-8overs especially on a good day.

I can’t believe people giving Mahmudullah a B. Lol

Agree with this mostly.

Shakib had a dream cup. Was on a roll.

Mustafizur had some great matches, he was outstanding.

Shaifuddin was the revelation.

Liton Das had a superb match and was unlucky / played some loose shots when set. Looks a good prospect.

Soumya was up and down like always.

Sabbir looked good for a while.

The failures were Tamim and Mashrafe.

I think the loss against NZ really sealed Bangladesh's fate. That was a close game.

It is difficult to grade players after their worst performance in the World Cup. I will be probably biased but will try to be honest.

1. Tamim - F. He had a very poor World Cup with not a single performance of note. Uninspiring, slow and lethargic.

2. Soumya: D. Flash in the plan. New generation Ashraful. Showed some promise and threw them away. Should have and could have done more.

3. Shakib: A+. Couldn’t have asked for more people in batting. Exceptional performance. Would have been wonderful if he could bring his A game with the ball as well. He had an average World Cup with the ball. However, once in a generation all/round performance.

4. Mushfiq: C. He played some good innings and was able to hold the innings together. However, disappointing performances in crucial matches against India, Pakistan and New Zealand. He had a terrible World Cup as a wicket keeper and the team management should not allow him to play again as a keeper if we would like to progress as a cricketing nation.

5. Mahmudullah: D. He had below average World Cup which was partly due to his physical fitness. It is a shame that he wasn’t able to contribute more and we missed his service in the crucial matches.

6. Mithun: F. He should not be in the team. Not a world stage player. His limitations were painful to watch.

7. Mosaddek: D. Had a below average World Cup. Some useful contributions here and there, but nothing of note and should have done better.

Liton: C. One good innings and then very average Ashrafulesque innings. Should have and could have done much better. Good potential for the future.

9. Sabbir: F. Again another passenger in the team who hasn’t done anything of note to justify his selection. Poor fielding

10. Miraz: C+. Our best bowler in terms of economy. Wasn’t penetrating enough but had good outing with the ball. Should have done more with the bat.

11. Shaifuddin: B- .Overall good all round performance but occasionally very poor with the ball. Too many experimental deliveries which regularly went wrong.

12. Mustafiz: B. He picked up some good wickets later in the innings and have two 5 wickets haul which is no mean feat. However, he lacked penetration early in the innings and bowled some pretty rubbish deliveries. Second best player of the team.

13. Mashrafe: F. Very very poor tournament. Lost so many fans and goodwill from the well wishers due to his consistently poor show. We had little choice as he has been an inspiration for many years. Time to retire and we should give him a good send off due to his long service.

14. Rubel: F. Very poor showing by Rubel. Expensive and uninspiring buffet bowling.

Mustafizur - 8.0
Mashrafe - 4.0

My grading scale: A, B, C, D, and F. No in between:

1. Shakib Al-Hasan - A
Self explanatory

2. Tamim Iqbal - F
Completely failed as an opener and a senior player. Unable to score at a healthy strike rate. Occasionally it is OK to struggle like Warner did, but unlike Warner, he failed to hold one end and play big innings. Dropped the most crucial catch of the tournament - that of Rohit Sharma.

3. Mushfiqur Rahim - B
OK batting, bad keeping. Failed in crucial matches against IND, PAK, and WI.

4. Mahmudullah - C
Two good innings - against SA it was a winning cause, against AUS it was a losing cause. The innings' in in between were of horrible strike rate, which is not acceptable for a no 6 player at this day and age.

5. Mashrafe Mortaza - F
1 wicket in 9 matches, comical fielding. Enough said.

6. Mustafizur Rahman - C
Took many wickets but it means nothing because he (1) failed to get breakthrough in first 15 overs (2) was very expensive (3) mostly got middle and lower order wickets (4) got hit for boundaries almost every over.

7.Mehidy Miraz - B
Surpassed my expectation.

8. Saifuddin -B
Not convinced of his bowling - one loose delivery every over, expensive overall.

9. Soumya Sarkar - F
Not a single fifty out of nine innings, average of 20. He was supposed to be our X factor player, failed to deliver even one single match winning innings.

10. Liton Das - B
His match winning knock against WI was vital, puts more value to his wicket and has better brain compared to Soumya, but still has a long way to go

11. Mosaddek Hossain C
Played two useful cameos against SA and AFG, delivered some economical overs. Fielding lot to be desired. Surpassed my expectation but got C because overall he remains a bits and pieces player and not a dependable/strong finisher.

12. Mohammed Mithun - F
Not his fault that he was selected, he was a hack to begin with. Perfoamance was as obscene as his hair cut.

13. Sabbir Rahman - F
One golden duck and one innings of thirty. Another duck in Ireland series. Scored 7 runs aginst IND in the warm up match. Dropped the crucial catch of Warner. Not even deserving of F. But again, it was MP Mash who preponed his ban and got him in the team.

14. Rubel Hossain - C
His grade would have been B if Mash did not use him after 40th over.

Overall:
Batting: B
Bowling: F
Fielding F

Three Wins, two shommanjonok porajoy, two osommanjonok porajoy, one wash out.

Overall grade: F
Because target was semi and the team failed (its binary, qualify = pass, fail otherwise)

Overall reaction to team performance: VOMIT because ranked below SL and handed Haturi the laugh

I need a break from cricket.

F
TAMIM - 29.37 AVG
MOSADDEK - 19.5 AVG / 3 wickets ECO 5.97

You can't give Riyad less than a B- (minus). He averaged over 40 at a 90+ strike rate. He batted at 6 which means he didn't get the opportunity to hit hundreds. Only criticism is his SR should have been closer to 100.

Same with Mosaddek. Can't give him less than a C.

Mahmudullah didn't bowl because he had a grade-3 tear on his right shoulder and we didn't want to worsen it.

You clearly didn't watch him do tuk tuk Test batting like Tamim in all the matches!
