Match of the tournament for us. Even if we lose, we must make sure it doesn't hurt our NRR.

He is our best chance of getting a breakthrough, if we don't take wickets, the game is gone regardless

Miraz won't do jack against India. Birmingham looked pacer friendly in the last two matches. I would definitely go with Rubel (Taskin would've been a better choice, but unfortunately our moron selectors wasted a slot on Rahi).

Miraz has been our best bowler in terms of economy and Edgbaston historically offers spin friendly pitches.

Rubel won’t be able to make the XI if Shaif is fit. He is a much better bowler.

Getting wickets is important I agree. But now we have a batting order that might win us the game even if opposition don't lose much wickets. In Aus match we scored 333 facing cumminns and strac. In that match Aus scored 387..96 in last 6 because screwbel's 25 run over started it. If screwbel was not there Aus would have scored 350 and match was on

Taskin would've been fit by now. The decision to select Rahi is looking even worse

The reason they scored so many is because we took only 1 wicket in the first 44 overs. Rubel looked the most threatening early on. Hit Warner a couple of times and made him miss one. He probably has a better record against the Indians than other bowlers barring the Fizz

Soumya will make Shami Kebab out of Shami, render Bumrah a Bum, and shank Shankar.

Rubel is never a good choice for high scoring matches. But high scoring part of the WC is over. We'll be setting ourselves for failure if our bowling side is still in the containment mode.

We already have Shak-Mash for containment, the other three bowlers got to have ability to take wickets.

he started the 96 of last 6 with his 25 run over.

Yup, chasing will be dumb decision. Try to bat full 50 overs any score above 270 to 280 should give us a very good chance. Let’s not forget we will probably playing on the same pitch that will be used for England v India. So it will be difficult to bat.

Bangladesh can beat India. If Bangladesh believes it can, plays to their full potential and most importantly takes their chances while fielding. BD can’t drop catches, even have to take tough ones. Bangladesh batting is excellent. I’m hoping Bangladesh win toss and bat first.

This would be the right choice that will never be made.

You almost never talk about Bangladesh winning anything and even the toss. Dont understand where this extreme pessimism stems from. Only person who would compete with such an attitude was Eclipse

The goal should be to walk in there and plan to dominate. India had some tough last few games and currently still trying to sort their batting lineup. We have to try and take advantage of their weakened batting.

For us, hope our management looked at the Ind Vs England game closely. That smaller boundary made it hard for their spinners to operate so it would only make sense to go in with an extra seamer. I know pitch is expected to be slower but I think our seamers can take advantage of it more then our spinners. Mash has to be very smart with how he uses Shakib and Mosaddek. Miraz is a no go for me. I would take a gamble at Rahi as India has a record of not playing well against our new seamers.

As I have said this before, our openers from both bowling and batting has to play the biggest role.

My lineup

Tamim
Soumya
Shakib
Mushy
Liton
Riyad
Mosaddek
Saifuddin
Mash
Rahi
Fizz

I would bring in Rubel Hossain, he has some pace and is a good bowler in the middle stages. However, Rubel must not be bowling in the last 6 overs, RED ALRET - NEVER! He is absolutely pathetic at the death. But it seems from the BD history, they never learn this thing.

For me the playing 11 would be..
Tamim
Soumya
Shakib
Mushfiqur
Liton
Mossadekk
Mahmudullah
Saifuddin
Mashrafe (c)
Rubel
Mustafizur

Leaving Mehidy out. India has too many right handers. Mehidy hasn’t impressed me in ODI’s. Mossadekk can do Mehidys job in ODI and give 3-5 overs, on a good day more, plus he is a better batsman than Mehidy.
