This was sad to read; though the extra motivation he had to prove himself was really in our favor:

“A few days ago there was a bad news that I used an injury as an excuse to get out of a match against a big team,” an emotional Saifuddin said after the match. “So I was thinking that I would become a hero by winning a match against a big team. When I took the field against India, from the first ball to the last, I was determined to win the match so that I could prove the allegations against my name wrong. Unfortunately that did not happen."

I wanted to prove the reports wrong, says Saifuddin

Yes, great job Mustafiz, Shakib, and Saifuddin.

Congrats to Shakib. We are very happy and proud of your accomplishments, Shakib. Alhamdulillah. It's sad that during your tenure, you did not lift the World Cup because you are playing for your country at a time when your team is not ready to lift the cup with you.

This is the point where we retire all the old horses like Mash, Tamim, Riyad, Rubel and Mushy gradually one by one and invest in better players

Toss, tamim knock Bangladesh out of the World Cup
Mash can’t play, wish he would’ve at least lucky to help winning the tosses
He won only one 1 time against England and choose bowl ... then in and out kamasutra..
Bangladesh had a chance against kiwi, but musfiq selfishness drowned BD
Sad to see our journey is end here....done and dusted.

Fizz is too introverted to become a captain though. Before grooming a player to become a captain, his personality should also be taken into account.

Anyway, this WC has been a story of 'could have been' for us. I am nervous about the state of our cricket after the senior players inevitably retire.

virat in for mash ?? that's a pretty friggin strong BD team !

well played guys, this time it was a case of so near yet so far for you guys. a case of losing by slim margins. need to get rid of deadwood like mash.

Virat would be great but with our current batting and bowling situation we require bumrah more than virat

Still can't believe we lost.
Our fans' emotions mean nothing to our players.

Bumrah is one heck of a bowler man. The last two you had no idea what hit you.

He is the best in the business. If we could replace mash with him we'd be world cup champs

They don't even show all the wickets. Just pathetic.

Bumrah has a deadly yorker. He is probably the hardest bowler to get through in the death overs. Then add to that those slower balls which can easily deceive any batsman because of his uncanny bowling action.

Frankly I wouldn't be surprised if India takes the tournament.

The match on 5th might become a dead rubber. Not sure if that helps us or not.
