BanglaCricket website needs enhancement

It is quite frequent that our favorite BC website goes down during a match when all tiger fans try to share their feelings in the forum. Certainly, I appreciate the folks who are behind this website but we want more- at least increase the servers bandwidth (i.e. whatever needed) to accomodate a fair number of visitors. I agree with one of the forumer who suggested that we all can contribute if money is needed to improve the services.

Any comments, Suggestions from the tiger fans?

-A frustrated fan who is tired of seeing server too busy kind of messages

We have made some configuration changes that should reduce or even eliminate this problem. Please report to us if you still notice server busy issues and the time this occurred. This will help us determine the necessary next steps.

I had server busy message for a while during the first ODI, when bangladesh was batting (more specifically between overs 20-45). I hope this helps. Next time, when i get the server busy message i will note down the time

I am browsing very smoothly now. Before, I would have gotten server busy by now - then again i am not home. I guess we will find out tomorrow if BC can take our load. If it can, I think some people in this forum should take Zunaid's load.

I think the archived plain form can be put as default for guests,that would minimize loads at the same time get many new mwmbers.

The additional changes have been put into place since the first ODI. The proof of the pudding will be tonight. Keep us posted please. Many thanks to Nasif.

It's not a good idea brother. I assume we have many distinguished guests from world cricket like Andrew Miller who may not want to be a member here. We need to show the best possible outlook of the forum to the guests rather than to the members. BC is a passion to the members, they won't mind a plain but trouble free version.

Hmm...tonight we will see how BC goes. It will be a good nerve test

Can you popup a email form such that we can immidiately send an email BC when server is busy. This way time will be accurately noted. It will be like Microsoft's "Send Error Report" widget.

What happened to the previous decoration of the main page? it was ery nice when the Foram as "Fans world" was in the main page. it was in simple form for the new porsts. but now its kinda complicated and seems to me that the interest is reduced.

so My Question is to know IF THERE IS ANY PROBABility of GETTING THE PREVIOUS LAYOUT OF THE MAIN PAGE WITH FANS WORLD section???

No interest is lost! We made a software upgradation and its all a new platform. Just hold on for a bit longer. People are working on it.

You can go to the tools section to get the latest Firefox toolbar.

BanglaCricket Toolbar
Add the BanglaCricket toolbar extension to your Firefox browser. This toolbar allows you to search and navigate BanglaCricket in an efficient manner.

Install Now 37Kb	For Firefox: 1.0 - 1.5
Last Update: April 25, 2006 If this extension does not automatically install, save the xpi file and then open it using from the Firefox File menu. Select File->Open File

Can we navigate BanglaCricket without any clicking of mouse? I request an enhancement that understands my mind waves and lets me go the forum and/or thread that I want.

On a more serious note - Good job on the on-going improvements. Slowly but surely, things are getting better and better.

It's been implemented. Did you not read my paper in the latest edition of Nature? It does not work if the brain wave is weak.

How did it work out real123 during 2nd ODI? Hopefully you are not frustrated anymore from the forum busy message.
