Bad News
http://content.cricinfo.com/ipl2009/...ry/397009.html
Derbyshire have "reluctantly" released Charl Langeveldt, their Kolpak fast bowler, for the IPL after he was signed up by the Kolkata Knight Riders. Langeveldt is playing out the second year of his two-year contract with the county and will head to South Africa for the Twenty20 tournament April 18 and May 24.
...
"Although we will undoubtedly miss a bowler of Charl's experience and ability for the early part of the season, I am pleased for him that he has the opportunity to play alongside the world's best in the IPL competition," Morris said. "The absence of Charl will mean that somebody else gets an opportunity to fill the gap left by one of our senior bowlers."

I think your taking all this a wee bit too seriously pagol chagol. First the thread about Bravo and Gayle, and now this. If Mash deserves to play, he'll play. Actually, im sure he'll play even if he doesnt deserve it. At the end of the day, its all about money, and having a Bangladeshi play for a team representing Bengalis is bound to give them about 50 million+ more fans...
Youre forgetting the primary objective of a club in a league like this is not to win matches, its to gain revenue. And having Mash play for the team would make a lot of sense from a purely business standpoint...

I agree with you... but, the way IPL ignored sakib, makes me think that other forces are at play.

Mash can easily win any law suit, if necessary. IPL would lose their reputation as a reliable business entity if they don't pay Mashrafee. There is no chance that they won't pay him his $600,000.

i'd play mash ahead of langeveldt but that doesn't mean the kolkata knight riders would, but i'm sure mash will get some matches anyway.

Mijan bhai, you can never trust an indian with money matters..
They are the best when it comes to talking sweet.
There is still a big difference between "dhore nin chukti hoye gese" and the actual signing of the deal.
I think they are pressurising Mash to go on some pro rata or some other deals..( if pro rata is not already being applicable to other players too)
The excuse of how their accountant being still in india doesnt sell to me....
Till the day they publish the actual document of signed contract... i'll have my doubts..
