Dear wasif

We have been trying hard to draw your attention but you kept ignoring us.

Please do not use all caps from now on. All caps do not look bright. If you do not understand what I meant, please feel free to say it in a reply post. Thank you.

I must say (can't belive I'm saying this), SS is far more realistic here. Actually, only thing I disagree, I don't think we'll reach 250.

Wasif, is these scoring layout suppose to be a sarcastic! I have never seen all our batsmen ever reaching double figure in a particular game. I might be wrong, but it doesn’t happen very often for any team. I don't see one single golla (duck), which his hard to swallow for me. I don’t see this is happening anytime soon, that’s all I can say for now.

Wasif, u2u means "User to user" (message).

I think this kind of targets are for the players themselves. As avid fans, we all want them to score as many runs as possible. I wouldn't mind us drawing a game after scoring 550+. It's unfair for us to expect Tapash/Tareq to score 20+. It's the top order's responsibility to score the runs.

I personally would like to see Ash and Rajin hitting tons. And no, I'm not saying that because I choose them in my fantasy team. I just like these two youngsters.

i think what wasif meant is what the target for those indivisual SHOULD be. in that case, i've to disagree with him. we'll never win a test unless at least first 5 of the batting line up targets 3 figure. what i'm trying to say is, when those five are playing, they should look for centuries.

our batsmen feel satisfied reaching a 50. is not even good enough for a draw!

My only wish in this test is to reach 400 mark. It seems like ages since we got that 400.

Wasif: what u hav set as target is eventually going to be the actual picture.. not what should be targeted
Maybe this should be the target (if u want to achieve what u hav targeted, as its natural to get less than what is tried for ):

First Innings total score: 400+

Bashar, Ash -Each 75+ (combined: 150)
Javed, Hannan, Faisal, Rajin -Each 50+ (combined: 200)
Pilot, Rafiq, Tapash, Mushfiq, Rana/Else -Combined: 100
-----------------------------------------------------------
Total : 450 (as WI will comfortably make 500 )
But it(BD score) will ultimately turn up to be: 350

But if they target 350... the score will be 250

Target should be a WIN, not a draw or individual imporvement. Enough with this individual improvement thingy! Now hold your breathe, pile up your concentration, set a target to dominate session by session(test cricket is all about a game plan of playing session wise) and gather the mental guts to go for the win! Remember, never lose faith on your own ability. There should be no other target than a win

Default great guess AgentSmith

I agree with you completely ASmith
BD requires massive batting improvements otherwise our total will be less than 200 before lunch.

178 runs at lunch???????
It means 178 runs in 180 balls(usually 30 Over max before lunch) & RR 5.93. Good prediction

And SS less than 200 before lunch will be a great score.

Did you account for extras?

did u account for extras?

Ok...if we are setting targets, I think we should set targets in excess of a 100 runs for each of Hannan, Bashar, Ash, Javed
and Rajin. This is a test match and it's time that our batsmen get a couple of big ones...fans
should be fed up watching 50's not being converted to 100's by now. Now if
you're talking about reality, then it's a completely different story.

btw...HTML does work here...kool!

I never heard about this. Practically it's also not possible to bowl 45 overs within 2 hours. In test u will get total 6 hours per day excluding lunch & tea breaks. So 30(before lunch)+30(before tea break)+30=90 overs. Total 3 sessions.

Excuse me Bro!!...
I want to be very very Practical and reallly really ask for atleast 5 to 7 DRAWS before we make our first Test-Victory!!
You are actually making a 'Test-Draw' Sound very easy!!... while we haven't been able to draw even one test (not counting the Rainy matches) in all the ones we played!!

Bnagladesh score quickly. The plus side is their bowlers have time to get the oposition out. The minus side is that the opposition bowlers have time to get Bangladesh out too.

The Bangladeshi team needs to have a taget that the team will regularily score more than 600 runs in a Test, with two centurions. Achieve that, and they have the batting to do it, and if they continue the improvement in the bowling, then the wins will come.
