Thanks BUT No Thanks!
Perfect timing, eh? You resign just within the time frame to barely honor the contact...
A calculative move -> Yes, indeed! Or rather I should say a "fox" move!? You use the "friendship" between two boards to leave you with "honor" but you do NOT hesitate to resign in the middle of a away tour to leave the visiting team in disarray -> Bravo professionalism!!
When one spent 3/4 of the time in vacation, I really have a difficult time to find one's devotion towards the team he's coaching, specially a team like Bangladesh which is yet to be developed as a strong cricketing nation. Some might say, oh, well, it's BCB who made the contact, well it is true, but where is your moral obligation? If it is your team, shouldn't you dedicate yourself towards your team to achieve the best? Shouldn't you help your players who aren't doing well rather to discarded them?
When one leave out the best (test!) player out of the Test squad, shouldn't be there any question about your fairness? Can one use the same logic to drop one and to promote the other? Not an honest individual would do that IMHO.
What bother me the most, he is yet optimizing the opportunity using our BCB "Papet" to demoralized the (up coming) host making their new Test captain and senior players a "demon" -> but he forgets that even Sehwag has been failed trying to do so in the past...
Hey, it's your motherland and one would serve his motherland -> I understand that. A Sri Lankan would chose his country over Bangladesh, I get that too.
BUT don't question our players' integrity or patriotism ->ever.

I fail to see why he has any obligation to sit out the BD-SL series just because BCB thinks he will divulge all our plans. Take it as a challenge, dont be a sissy.
No problem with how he resigned...better now than never. I have issues with how he coached thinking Imrul is better than Mominul, Sabbir is a Test player, selecting bowlers like Rubel and Rabbi, playing Hom etc. Highlighting his numerous blunders makes me feel like a broken record lol.

It won't be fun watching them trash us at home for sure.
They have better players, more mature, better mind-set than ours.
Hathura will get his points across to them much easily, their players much more professional than ours.
Hathura biggest problem will be dealing with SL board.. in BD he had papon on his side..

^^ If Lankan players are so great, they would have done better under Ford. Hathu will be a step down for them from Ford.
It was our player that made Coach "Ego" seems so great.

Ford isn't a great coach. Struggled both as SL and Pakistan coach.
I think Hathura will take SL to a new level. I guess we have to wait and see.
Edit: Didn't coach Pakistan.

No big deal. Players play against each other. See BPL. We can play against Haturi.
Best of luck to Haturi except against us. SL is in real need of someone who can guide them. Their big guns retired. I don't know how long can Mathew and Herath continue.
They don't have Murali, Sanga, Jaya, Dilshan. Malinga is no longer the Malinga of the past. Lakmal is good but he is no Vass.

I was about to ask you, when did Ford coach Pakistan?!
As per Sanga, Ford was the best man to take Lanka cricket forward. He had to quit prematurely. I don't see Coach "Ego" lasting much longer than him.

Sanga rates Hathu very highly also. As much I resent Hathu, he was a good coach for us till 2016, which incidentally is when he first indicated to BCB he wanted to resign.
Thats when the lunacy started...Sabbir getting debut ahead of Mosaddek, dropping Mominul for Imrul and his sub 30 average, etc.
Maybe he figured since he cant resign lets pick a crap side and get fired. Hows that for a conspiracy theory? Lol.
Anyways, whatever happened, happened for the good. Oops, accidentally quoted Mushy saab.
