There are no culprits. India played two levels above any side in Asia Cup. They overcame swinging conditions and as the track became more batting friendly they were always going to win. We punched above our weight the whole tournament considering we rank no 10 but the gap between their batting quality and ours were just too great. They targetted specific bowlers and mostly played risk free. Another 10-20 runs would not have made a difference. We needed the overs of mustafiz to make things really competitive. It didnt help that shakib bowled poorly with the ball but when you are under so much pressure it can happen.

We the fans are the culprit for having such a high expectations and putting unnecessary pressure on the boys.

No one tries to lose, they played their best but at the end of the day better team won.

It is a disgrace to have a thread title like this after such a good tournament.

Shakib the batsman turned up today not Shakib the bowler. We had too many dot balls throughout our innings.

Don't know the name, but BC handle of the culprit is revolver - trying to start a witch hunt for no reason

Good to see most of the BC members know better.

Fans who think we're world beaters after a few wins in this format. We punched above our weight so thanks Mash, boys and management for some much needed belief and rejuvenation in this format beofe the Wt20.

Firstly well done congrats to the team no disrespect but I am disappointed with

Mushfiq -- he doesnt look strong enough to hit the ball he has been poor should be nowhere near t20 team but i guess we have rubbush replacements like mithun

Shakib- a bit overrated these days i feel does not turn up for big games

Abu Hider Rony- another overhyped player 130mph trundlers will be discarded soon

I just wish Mustafiz was there for final.

No one was really the culprit but I felt at places it wasn't going right for Bangladesh -
1) Toss
2) Getting stuck in early overs.
3) Getting stuck against Ashwin. They needed singles only.
4) Shakib's sweep. He didn't need to attack Ashwin, just had to watch and play his last over.
5) In form Mahmudullah should have come in place of Mushfiq.
6) Indian batting was near impeccable, still Rony should have got one more over. He had edges and wickets were more precious than containing runs.

I can almost guarantee you that Shakib will play key role in upcoming WT20. The fact is that Indians are too used to him as he plays in IPL.

Culprits may be too strong a word, but definately some naive decisons.

The most inform batsman in the team Mahmud Ullah, should have have come in at no 4, espcecially in a curtailed match.
He should also have been given at least 1 over of bowling

Shakib should not have bowled the 2nd over. The game was lost after this 2nd over.

Mushfiq has been out of form all through out this tournament, but still came ahead of other batsmen. Where was the logic in this?

India won because they played better on the day.

Ofcause there were few culprits but overall in this format BD punched above its weight to reach the final. Never been good at this format. so I'd take a final loss. Good try. Just too many poor loose bowling from 6overs - 10overs costed big time in the end and poor rotation of bowlers in the middle didn't help the cause neither.

Back on the game.
•I thought Shakib is absolute garbage 90% of the times he plays T20s, especially has been of late, his bowling was below par far too many loose deliveries its worse than Razzaks last few games.

•Sabbir played a poor slow innings, never got going. 28-30balls should have made a 45plus to say the least, with the kind of form he has shown recent matches a 30ball 50 would have been much helpful.

•Mashrafe's rotation of bowlers was painful to see especially in the middle. He got rid of Hider after one over going for 14 but to Hiders defence he beat the bat few times and it was within the PP, was unlucky with the few fours. Even Russell Arnold said he was unlucky.

•Mash then brought Sakib on again and trust me that over could well gone for 20 he bowl few wide loose balls too ended up giving 11runs or something.

•He then bowled Nasir again (despite having AlAmin with one more and Tasking with one more left) which costed. There were some overs in the middle of the innings went for too big consecutively.

• Mash waited too long to use the pacers to bowl in the end when the game was not even going to even go far (all was quite visible), it would have been better bowling another one or two overs frlm the pacers in the middle rather than letting the opposition settle in playing spinners and mortazas gentle pies.

• Removing Rony was the biggest blunder he made today. With the field back Rony could done better with protection. His yorkers were needed today, none bowlers out of bowl yorkers at all. Sometimes you need to give someone another over to see what he can do to recover, one needs another chance to make an impact of something.

No culprits but a few things that could've been done differently-

i) Mahmudullah coming in so late - it was a 15 over game so really there wasn't a matter of saving wickets after over 7/8
ii) Field placement during Rony's over (that's the over where a lot of the pressure was released)
iii) Rony could've come back instead of Nasir's 3rd over knowing that India will try and hit a few boundaries to reduce the deficit at that stage

The only thing that pissed me was sending Sakib & Mushy ahead of an inform Ryad specially when it is a 15 ov match

1. Tamim - Wasn't he made the opener because of his aggressive batting that was a complete change to our classic style of build up innings by playing tuk-took shots for 10 overs without losing a wicket ? What happened to him ? Washed up superstar ?
2. Soumya - All those superb shots and scores and then what happened to you ? Is that it ? Are you done ? Tomar form ar koydin kharap thakbo ?
3. Mushfiq - Tumi last kobey ekta bhalo score korso ? Tomar wicketkeeping ekhon aro onekey parey. Nurul tomakey khub shighroi replace korbey tomar batting ei rokom thakley
4. Al-amin - Last overey eida ki korla ? Ar ek ball baki silo , oita vaggish hoy nai ar nailey oita 6 hoito!
5. Abu Hider - Tomar BPL performance er gushti kilai. Ashol matchey perform na kortey parley, tomarey diya ki hoibo ?
6. Shakib - Tomar ki abar spin bowling shikhtey hoibo ? Ball dhilao na spin koro ?
7. Mashrafe - Pace bowler use korben 4ta ar slipey kuno player rakhben na, eida to hoy na.

When people are criticizing Shakib, why is it being forgotten that his match fitness for the final was uncertain and his injury clearly impacted his performance during the match?
