My pre-series prediction (without studying the squads or the form of the players):
2 - 0 England (Tests)

3 - 2 England (ODIs)

I believe the Lankans will offer a lot more resistance then people think in tests. They've got a very good batting lineup. Their bowling lineup will get tested though. Best of luck to both sides. Looking forward to seeing good test matches. The Pakistan-WI test matches were sloppy.

J. Trott have a test avg of 70 (still going) and just got his 2nd double in his 19th test match

Wondering where would have been England in test ranking without theses SouthAfricans

well it will be one sided series especially the test series because english batsmen are in good form and it will be difficult for srilankan bowlers to get them out twice in a test match lets see what happens in the odis and t20 ..............

Sri Lanka's bowling looks really weak. weaker than ours for the time being.

England with three bowlers are hammering Sri Lanka. 43/7 now and they are into the tail.

Sri Lanka's bowling is at par if not worse than ours. God I wish we played more Tests with Sri Lanka, Pakistan, West Indies and New Zealand.

what a turn around. Who says test matches are not thrilling ! One and half day was washed by rain yet Sri Lankans are managing to lose it by innings !

See, what IPL has done to SL. Most of the SL players were busy playing in IPL straight after WC whereas English players did not bother about IPL and were preparing for SL series. Now see the result.

this test match reminds of me BD's first ever test match against India where we scored 400 runs in the 1st innings and bowled out for 90 runs in the 2nd !!

It is evident in the performance of Sangakkara and Jayawardene. Both arrived in the UK late and were more interested in playing in the IPL. And their scores tell the story.
