Default Time to crush England with spin in Adelaide

This pitch will offer Bangladesh the most assistance yet in this tour, Adelaide is known to be one of the slowest wickets in Australia, England better watch out. But we need to include one extra spinner here if we want to take out England for a low score. Tajiul or Arafat Sunny? Also, we need to keep calm and take in pressure but not give in to it. This match will surely make Bangladeshi players sweat. Our bowling hasn't been upto standards yet but I feel we got a real chance in Adelaide here, this pitch is exactly like Mirpur's.

England generally are not all too bothered by SLAs. I will still go with Taijul. Our current bowling department is too defensive, we need an attacking bowler.

Why you have left our Nasir mate? I would play two pacers against England though. And, it seems RBX is not in good form watching the last few matches.

Is Anam ok ? Praying for his quick recovery.

Yes, Taijul is a must against the English if we want to win.

If Rubel bowls like below against the Scottish, why he should play gainst the Englisg?? He should not play the last two matches IMHO and replaced by Sunny / Taijul

I agree. Balanced side. Mushi and Shakib are genuine all-rounder, both give captain extra option

Can we delete this thread!?!? A similar thread like this vs SL jinxed us! Please I beg the mods, please!!! For the greater good! And what's the point of it anyways? Let's not bring another trashy team back into form! Eng is our best chance. We have no chance vs NZ Kalam and Gopal will score 400.

Repeating what i said in another thread

Tamim
Soumya
Riyad
Mushy
Shakib
Shabbir
Nasir
Mash
Arafat
Taijul
Taskin

If Mash cant make it than replace him with Shafiul. Rubel isnt looking good... so let him figure it out. Taskin makes it for coming back in the end. Bring the two spinners on. You wont win with pace in a slower surface against a team like England. So step out of the textbook lineup and go for the kill. Its the only way the bowlers will dominate. 7 Batsmen more than enough. Cant win it with 7, cant win it with 8... period

Good line up but how about Arafat Sunny also instead Rubel or an extra batsman Mominul instead Rubel?

So basically we have 4 frontline bowlers, and we know shakib will bowl 10 overs. So no need for any part timers against England. Although TBH, I dont see much of a need to have 2 specialist SLAs. Would have loved if Gazi was in form and in the team, an offie and very handy with the bat.

Let's not get carried away in our approach.
Let's be humble and practical.

Let's just say "time to beat England", not "crush" England.

We would already have 2 spinners in Shakib and Taijul, 3 with M'ullah. No need to play Arafat as well.

If anyone is thinking that Adelaide is a spinners' paradise they are wrong. It's a batters' paradise. Its not chennai or Chittagong though. Don't forget its still an Australian pitch. There will be true bounce on the pitch. The difference is it's not as hard as WACA or Gabba and much slower than other Australian pitches but definitely not a rank turner. The key is to bowl tight whether you are a pacer or spinner. We shouldn't pack the eleven with spinners, intead we should pick our best bowlers and compliment bowling with good fielding. And most importantly bat well. We have to bat better than any other previous match, even today's. English bowlers are a class above than Scotlands and we don't have Dilshans, Sangas or Mahelas. So, we have to bat well collectively. This is our final.

Since Bijoy is out of the equation, the team should be Taijul coming in, in place of him. If the pitch provides any assistance, having an extra spinners is out best bet at containing England.

Early wickets against England will be crucial. If we can pick up 2/3 wickets in first 15 overs, it will be a really good contest as their middle order hasn't been that great thus far in this world cup.

Mooen ALi and Bell is the main concern for me.

Moeen Ali is an excellent player of Spin, you have to get him early else he'll clear the ropes with ease. The Pacers need to step up. Hopefully Masri's knees and shins hold up for another few more games.

Shakib's job is to get him out, they know each other better how they play.
