Default US Open 06

Instant replay this year. You like it?

Agassi's farewell.

Federer gunning for three US titles in a row.

Nadal wants a repeat of the last two grand slam finals.

Roddick is coming of his own. With Connors on his side this time.

This will be fun, unless the rain dampens everything.

Your thoughts.

I wud love to see Agassi do well....Hez got a real tough one against Baghdatis ( I like him too!)tomorrow...It wud be a fairytale if Agassi wins his last Grand Slam just like Sampras did...But I guess thats unreal....All in all...I wud be pretty happy if Federer wins it again.....And as far as girls go....I want either Hingis or Pierce to win it though I feel its gonna be Henin...cheers...

Agassi's opening match was fun and loud, I'd like to see how Baghdatis can deal with 20,000 rooting against him unlike the Aussie where he had everybody behind his back. I think Andre can make a big run with the crowd behind him.

Agassi is one of my all time favourites. For some reason I never liked Sampras during his rivalry years with Andre. I really hope he ends this with a big bang. This pic is from his 1st round match against Andrei Pavel. The guy still has it, eh?

Ditto here mate !!
Infact id go even further to say that Agassi has been my all time fav tennis player.
Wish him all the best luck in his last professional tournament.
Just an off topic, i was lucky enough to see him in person few years back in Sydney, but didnt get to talk to him or get his autograph.
Saw him in the same Sports Bar i was in with few mates. He was sitting in one corner having few quite drinks, was told by his bodyguard that he did not want to be disturbed. Fair enough.
But that was a big deal for me, just to see him face to face.

Agassi turns back clock, wins U.S. Open all-timer
http://sports.yahoo.com/ten/news?slu...v=ap&type=lgns

"But at 36, and boosted by a cortisone injection, Agassi was equal to the task. Stretching and reaching, he put on a performance for the tennis ages in his 21st straight Open -- count that one for each year of Baghdatis' life."

21 straight US Open. Is that a record?
He is the only thing that is keeping me glued to the US Open '06.

Default Agassi Falls!!

http://sports.yahoo.com/ten/news;_yl...v=ap&type=lgns
The turning point in Agassi's career came almost unexpectedly in 1992, when after a string of losses to a handful of contemporaries in the finals of majors, he outlasted Goran Ivanisevic to win Wimbledon. It was the first time the "image-is-everything" brat in the photo shoots quit "going for it" on every shot, and figured out what real champions eventually understand: that winning is a test of nerves and not just power, a marathon instead of a sprint.

These words should be engraved in front of Bangaladesh cricket teams locker room.

The battle for the US open is heating up.
Federer, Nadal, Roddick, Blake, Hewitt all are gearing up for each other. Murray and Safin are there to cause upsets.

Hewitt and Nadal are out. Federer meets Blake, Roddick on fire. This is getting really tensed. I want anyone but Federer to win.

yah man, i know what u mean.
As much as i like Federer, we need a change for something different.
Way too over dominance of one player can get boring after a while.

With the remainders, id want to see Roddick winning.

The "agasha" had acheived things that no phul could do in recent times. Win all four grand slams. This is coming out of an Samprass fan. Credit should be given where credit is due.

Federer zip passed Blake in four sets. Losing a set for the first time in this tournament. Blake sumed in up shouting: "You are too good!!". Grrrr!!!

Credit should be given where credit is due. Sure why not.... I have to admit Agasha can cry even better than a baby... have you seen his last emotional speach?

Oh poor baby .... "Hash little Baby dont u cry papa goingto buy you a...."
