Swift named new fielding coach
The Daily Star

Jason Swift has been named as the fielding coach of the Tigers, Bangladesh Cricket Board made the announcement last night.

The 40-year-old Australia, who is currently the Lancashire fielding coach, has agreed on a two-year term with the BCB and is expected to join the squad ahead of the tour of Zimbabwe.

An ECB level 4 qualified coach, Swift has been at Old Trafford for six seasons as a coach and performance analyst. He is also the head coach of the county's colts team and assistant coach of its academy.

Swift was an accomplished league cricketer who played for Canberra Comets between 1997 and 2000 and captained Queanbeyan for three years.

I wish the new coaches all the best for the future, but let this be a warning to all who wish to help Bangladesh Cricket & do business with the BCB; words mean nothing, actions mean nothing. Signed legal contracts are all that seems to matter. Shameful, really shameful.

Incidentally, those few BC members who are quick to say that coaches and staff only come to Bangladesh to earn money and don't have Bangladesh cricket " in their heart" . . . now hopefully you can see why, because those that genuinely care about the team performance, players performance and fans get treated in a completely unprofessional, and some might say despicable manner.

We all know how BCB has gone to the dogs since Lota Kamal's appointment. What else could we have expected under the aegis of a corrupt and classless politician? Even the appointment of Manzur (a gentleman and a professional) as the CEO could not do much to change things. I'm pretty sure the E in the CEO's title is in name only and ALL exec powers are vested in the grubby hands of the President and his cronies. I apologize Julien. And I am sorry for the state of our cricket administration.

Shame on Mostafa Kamal. He must go. Save our cricket.

Swift is a Level 4 qualified coach, the highest under the ECB programme, and is assistant coach of the Lancashire Academy besides being in charge of the county's Colts team
Level 4 thats higher than head coach Stuart Law.....Ouch.

Quote:
Bangladesh's newly appointed coach, Stuart Law, had a lengthy stint as a player at Lancashire, towards the end of which he worked with Swift.

Disgraceful, unprofessional, good for nothing BCB administration, Lotus Kamal and the fools, SHAME on you BCB! I am disgusted by these scumbags dealing of a professional sport in the international arena....I am really very sorry dear coach Julien Fountain about this...I guess all I can say is it is good for our coach Fountain that he doesn't have to go to work everyday with these BCB fools as his bosses anymore. Coach we remember you, BC will always remember you, your Tigers will remember you and the Bangladesh and her ill-fortunate people will remember you always! Hope you stay in touch with us, in BC where we salute you for an outsanding coaching in fielding that you gave the Bangladesh National team, the tigers. We saw tremendous improvement in the team's fielding during your time here in Bangladesh! We love you coach Julien Fountain!

PS: Coach Fountain, once again we are very sorry for the loss of your father. May he rest in peace.

Agree with you 100% Zunaid bhai.

And I am sorry too Julien - losing a coach and motivator like you is going to cost our crickets for sure.

Welcome to Bangladesh Jason Swift.
Wish you best of luck and all the success in Bangladesh.

Thank you for all your support Julian Fountain.
You have been superb with the team but unfortunately things are on a different course, as it seems like.
Wish you best of luck in your next venture.
