Nothing will be proven for sure. ICC anti-corruption unit is useless. They haven't been able to catch any culprit yet. The Pakistani trio were trapped by the News of the World and the recent IPL trio by Delhi Police. I am sure the local sport journalists know what goes on behind the scene in BPL but they won't take on the big corporate dogs.

Default BPL fixing investigated

It was in response the suspicions of “match-fixing” over the BPL game between Dhaka Gladiators and Chittagong Kings.
Three months on, the issue has reared its head again as ACSU officials were recently in the country to continue their investigation into that game and a few others in the last edition of the BPL. And whispers suggest that at least one high-profile name is among a number of cricketers against whom fingers have been raised.
The ACSU officials interrogate high-profile local and overseas players including Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, Shakib Al Hasan and Mohammad Ashraful, with the latter apparently raising the most concerns as captain of the Dhaka Gladiators team in some suspicious games. ACSU officials may submit their findings to the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) very soon.
It seems that the ACSU’s move has happened quietly with only a few BCB high-ups in the know about wrong-doings during the BPL. But the investigation threatens to lift the lid on what may become an altogether ugly incident for Bangladesh cricket. One BCB official, on condition of anonymity, said: “The signs are not good, we may have to pay a big price.”

Why would the BCB have to "pay" a big price if some rogue players fixed some games? Is the BCCI going to pay for IPL fixing? Or is this a pay by loss of reputation issue? In that case, no loss, since the BPL has no repute to begin with.

1. Innocent until proven guilty.
2. Suspicious until proven innocent.

Thank you. Let's wait for the report to be made public. And I'm sure if there were signs of Ash being guilty the ACSU would've instructed the BCB to suspend him till they concluded their investigation.

SL and BD in the same level as India and Pakistan? India have had so many players banned due to spot/match fixing starting from jadeja, azhar, and now three musketeers. Pakistan had plenty from their side.

Whereas, not too many suspicions against BD players

This is a news item, but let us be careful to not reach hasty conclusions. Official words should come out eventually. If this is true, only the guilty should pay.

I don't want say much before any official declaration, personally find it hard to believe Ash could be involved.
But that particular match looked so fixed & Ash's approach/batting was very questionable.

Now that IPL is jacked up with controversies, someone out there trying to involve BPL so that IPL doesn't look ugly alone!

Stop calling Ash guilty until proven.

This is really hard to believe but it's possible for anyone to fall into this kind of trap. Money changes a man. Hensie Cronjie was on top of the world, he had everything, would have easily gone down in the history as one of the greatest captain and maybe even South Africa's best ever. What more could he have possibly gained by earning a little extra money on the side?

As other people have mentioned, let's not point fingers until the investigation is over. But I think it's safe to say BPL is not clean. Some form of fixing did occur, be it one game or multiple games. Remember Mash came out and notified BCB and the anti corrultion unit about some bookie that approached him. If they approached Mash it's very much possible they also approached other players. Mash may have been strong enough to turn them down, but not everyone is Mash.

Yeah because this has never happened in America or the UK or Canada etc etc... It doesn't make it any less disgusting, but that comment is crazy.

Now its more than a mere gossip, its a news in major news media for awhile. As a fan, there is no way we should wait further... if so, then why we are the fans anyway?

There is enough smoke and fire for us to discuss this.

Now there are also news in some major news paper with names about their admission and/or prospective culprits and their roles. They are all fair game now to talk, we don't need to be "wait and see" mode anymore.

And btw if the news in PA is right, guilty or not in your mind, Ashraful is already toasted... now the loyal fans, Chachu Akram or Lotus Kamal's grandson cannot will not be able to save him (if the news of his admission is correct).

Now was there any more guilty people beyond just one player? Sure they are. Who are they? Some of them will be pointed out, some of them will escape. Some of them will not have enough evidence to convict or not as dumb as Ashraful to admit guilt or not guilty at all. So either "convict all or none" is not going to fly. People will be picked up case by case basis.
