^^
Now have a look at this very ordinary Sri Lankan team:

1. Jayasuriya
2. Dilshan
3. Jayawardene
4. Sangakkara
5. A De Silva
6. Ranatunga (c)
7. Mathews
8. Vaas
9. A Mendis
10. Muralitharan
11. Malinga

BTW, I want Koliga'r Singara (found at Farm Gate, Dhaka), not the vege ones Indians sell everywhere and don't know the difference bet'n Samosa and Singara. Wish wife made me some during the game night.

Go Bangladesh!

Interesting. Bangladesh have yet to tie an ODI game. I don't think it will ever happen. All the other teams that has full membership status have.

This is not football. Ties are rare here

Bought a ticket next to players gallery.

But seems like the players will be more in the gallery than the ground. Scattered showers forecasted-particularly afternoon. Even now pretty heavy shower.

Damn! Was really hoping for a cracking ODI encounter.

Meh. That would be so lame. Hope we have at least a curtailed match.

Normally SSC hosts day games, Premadasa hosts day night. Makes it difficult to extend the game in the event of rain.

Actually simon its been dry and super hot all these days. Day there is a cricket match there has to be rain!

I think we are worse than SL when it comes to rain. Super long rainy season.

Anyway, I think M'Fizz should open the bowling tomorrow.

I second that.

Didn't really understand the bowling strategy in 1st two games. If your best batsman should play in top order, your best bowler needs to be the opening spell as well. Although it all worked out in the 1st ODI.

On the other hand, he may be rested for the 3rd ODI. It's just my wild guess.

During one of the T20s in New Zealand, we were having such moments. Sadly, it didn't last long.

I love the way these two can crunch the ball with power and so much ease. I think, these are the only two in our current ODI/T20 setup that has the gift of top-class power and timing. Aftaab, Alok had it. Ashraful had it when he played those hooks and flicks. I hope the new talk-of-town Azmir has it.

+1

I think, Fiz would get some swing with the new ball and be very effective. You don't need too much swing to get a batsman out anyway. He can bowl 3/4 overs with the new ball and come back for 3/4 over spell in the middle.

Also, Mehedi would be more useful in the middle over than opening the bowling. Whatever surprise element it had must have already gone.

It's been raining here in NYC all day, non-stop.

Crazy weather.
