Test 2 Day 3 in retrospect: 397 runs in 86.3 overs

A quite outlandish run-rate of 4.58.

It cost 16 wickets though at 24.85 runs apiece.

Is there something to be taken from these stats? Or do you think it's a one-off day in our test cricket history with the sun, the moon and the planets aligned the right way?

I would rather prefer a RR of 3.5 (pretty good for test) which would take BD almost 114 overs to reach the 397 runs..
The test would last almost half a day more!!

nah...the chittagong pitch was the best one we had...except maybe the first test in WI...they need pitches like this all the time in BD. so that even if we lose, we score runs like crazy and "win"

I didnt really mind. a few less wickets would have been good. but i think attacking is the answer.

I see something more different...though u don't expect from me ...
I see that BD will be on firing mood against India...if and only if they can keep 3 wkts intact in first 10 overs.
even 3 wkts fell with 30 runs on board in 13 overs, if Bashar or Ash or even nafis can click it will be a game to remember...we might be out in 42 overs but we will play like tigers(all depends on just two innings of top orders like 50 or 60) ...so if we get 160/6 end of 35 overs ...I am definite that our tail order(if they click) can manage 60 runs till 45 overs.
220 run is not enough but imagine if Masri, Rafique and one more bowler ball dream spells we can give Ind something different this time.
It will be one sided but we will make them work hard for those wins.

I don't know though...for BD batsmen nobody can predict..I am just hoping if two batsman and three bowlers click then only it will happen.
