I think we should boycott the tour. Isn't it the time when our national league will be held ?
I want the whole national team to play the full national league without any interruption

why can't bangladesh play some warm up matches before the ODI Series with SA, we could play against Kenya and Zimbabwe. They are still going to be considered full ODI's and we get to play against teams that are around our skill level.

zimbabwe is around our performance level...our skill level is too high even for them. its just our players rarely peform at the level they are capable of.
kenya isn't even at the skill level of bermuda anymore.

South Africa should be the team that should boycott the series, not Bangladesh..I mean what a waste of energy for the South Africans it would be if Bangladesh carries on the way it is..

This tour will take place a month after Eid-ul-Fitr. Although Ramadan is supposed to be a month of self restrain, we can take it for granted that players will indulge in gluttonous meals during Iftar and Sahur (as most of the well-to-do Muslims do nowadays). The coaching staff will have hard time getting the players in shape for this tour.

November 12: 3rd ODI in East London (D/N)

what does bangladesh have to lose anyways....i just say they go down the dejavu lane and play in the same natural aggressive 20-20 format they played vs SA during last time....anyone remembers the time they went berserk and were bludgeoning shots right and left...altho they went on to lose the match at this they played like men

I think this is a common misconception. Most of the national players dont really induldge into that kind of feasting as much as we think they do. I recall Mashrafee mentioning this that he doesnt eat anything that is not suggested by the physio, Rajin Saleh is another player who trained hard.. I believe most of the players have strict guidlines on what they can/cannot eat/drink during off-season. They are contracted players..And this is not the first time Bangladesh will play after/during the Ramadan.. Keep in mind that the players must pass the fitness test before being included in the national team.. So dont over-think that the players are idiving into Jilabi/Haleem/Peyaju etc. Leave that for the Akram/Bulbul generation

Little change in the itinerary for the South Africa tour
http://www.bangladesherkhela.info/in...&editionID=448
Nov 5 - Johensburg Day-night T20.
Nov 7, 9 and 12 One series in three different locations.
Then a two day warmup match. (this has been changed from a three day match)
Nov 19 1st test.
Nov 26 2nd test.
I don't think SA is relying on test 1 to go to day four.

Only 2 days between two tests? Says their expectations !
Hope we can prove them wrong.

Steyn passed fit from mysterious virus
Dale Steyn, the South African fast bowler, is available for the rest of the international season after having been passed fit from a mysterious virus. However, Steyn may still miss the upcoming two home ODIs against Kenya and will, in all likelihood, return for the home series against Bangladesh starting November 5.
