Shakib and Shahriar in the preliminary IPL auction list.
Just read the news about the preliminary IPL Auction list. And It included Shakib and Shahriar from Bangladesh. Now, this does not guarantee that they will be included in the final auction. What will happen is that the teams will choose who they would like to see in the IPL auction. So they are expecting the list of 97 be reduced to somewhere around the 30-40 figure mark. I expect Shakib to survive, but I have doubts on SN.

Where is Alok Kapali? I have heard lots of bs from Kapali fans during ICL and post-ICL era that he will be a big hit in IPL.
The Kapali fans should start an online petition to include Kapali in the auction list.
BTW, who cares about IPL auction? Not many Bangladeshi care any more especially after Mash/Ash experinece in last IPL.
Shakib, please concentrate on your county stint with Worcestershire, stay away from IPL for your own good.

That's your opinion. You don't speak for "all" Bangladeshis.
So this means no Tamim Iqbal either. Hmm...

While playing in the county is certainly a better learning prospect. I see nothing wrong with him participating in the IPL. I am sure all the ethics go down the drain when someone flashes 200-500k contract at your face. I believe Alok would have been a good choice. If he performs 1/2 of what he had done in the ICL, then he would have surely been one of the most valuable players there. He might have a chance to be selected by a private contract.

So what if someone wants to pick someone who isn't in this list? What if I owned a franchise and for whatever reason wanted to pick Naeem Islam?

That has happened before. I think you contact the player(or his agent) and you also notify the big boss(lalit). KKR tried to do that with Mash. But Mash insisted that he be on the auction.

I wouldn't be surprised if Rizwan Cheema makes it to one of the teams.

I did not mention "all" Bangladeshis. Did I?
If Bangladeshi players get regular opportunity to perform, the situation will change. Otherwise, the excitation will last only until the end of the auction.

totally agree. shakib should follow michael clarke, mitchell johnson--who give first priority to country.
its sad, India and IPL still consider bangla cricket players as a garbage players. otherwise players like rasel, rafiq, kapali, tamim, razzaq, aftab definitely deserve a call in IPL
kapali is proven in this format, so its really sad not to see him.

I don't think anyone's neglecting national duties by playing in the IPL. There's no reason why one can't play the IPL alongside international cricket. Country definitely comes first and in the past players have been pulled off the IPL to play international cricket.
Just because Ashraful couldn't learn anything from Tendulkar doesn't mean smarter cricketers such as Tamim and Shakib won't.

Why should they favor different nations besides india in the first place, I mean ipl is the indian premier league after all so its only natural for them to pay more attention to the indian players. If shakib makes it to a team I think he will get a few games, I don't know why some say ipl is not beneficial to our players, no matter where you play or what format you play, playing beside the very best in international cricket will be beneficial for you, unless you are someone like ash.

You're more sensible than many adults here. Of course, this is assuming that you're not an adult, but let's not go there now.

to pay $600,000 to buy someone whom you only use in one match in a 25 match competition is a serious joke indeed and indeed proves how cheap the value of money means to the whole organization...
I completey agree wih Miraz Bhai, county will be much of a stiff challenge thatn IPL because it provides all formats of the game and it is a true test of consistency and character rather than one time luck...luck is a huge factor in 20/20 but not as huge factor in other forms of the game.
County >>> IPL by miles...it tests fatigue, consistency and character far more than what IPL has to offer.

Shakib fate depends on his performence in tri-series. If he performs he wl be definitly a big hit in Ipl. We would see another chulachuli between Shahrukh and Preety.

It's not only Shakib... any players that perform at this series will be a contender. Remember that WI chap (bharat)... if someone can stand out here.. they will get a chance.

are you even aware how the IPL is organized ?
'to the whole organization' ? buying a player is the individual team's decision, in this case KKR. not using mash was completely boka-nan's stupid decision, IPL as an organization has nothing to do with it.
