Default Rasel instead of Shafiul = BAD MOVE

I know, Shafiul didn't have an exceptional series, but Rasel? Gimme a break! Shafiul needs to get maximum match practice before the Wcup.. As far as Rasel is concerned, he's done.. Even Shakib and Raj have more pace than him.. Even if Shafiul goes for runs, he should play in every match, he's a learning things quickly, just needs to work on his length a bit.

Well Rasel deserved a chance against the so called weaker opposition, but as he failed it will be logical to get Shafi back.
Shafi is expensive but also a wicket taker.
And I also believe he can be a handy batsman than Ryad during the last 12/10 overs.

Rasel bowled well in his 2nd spell. Hist first spell of 3 overs were horrible.

It's his first game after almost a year.

I thought Shafi was injured or had some problems. He does not deserve to be dropped.

The first over was a maiden for Mash.
In the second over, Rasel's first ball was a no ball, followed by a 4, which opened the flood gate of runs.
I agree, Shafiul should have played in place of Rasel.

Shafiul is the type of bowler who will learn and get better with experience and the more matches he plays. Rubel on the other hand I see very little hope for.

I do think Rasel is a good option on some wickets but Shafiul is the best pacer we have at the moment after Mash. Yes, he does go for runs, but he has a good temperament (just ask England) and is a very useful lower order batsman who should be batting at 8 or 9 not like the 10/11 during the England series

Bowling has nothing to do with in such a batting paradise.

Got 4 wickets today

He should bowl with a better discipline, I'm sure he'll get better with time.

It's a shame that Rubel was dropped though

i agree with u shakibrulz
rasel is a mediocre medium pacer
before he used to bowl with abit of swing and bowl a tight line
he has lost them both now, plus he has lost his batting ability
he has no place in this bd team anymore

Bro you seemed to be quite obsessed with the idea of a bowler being able to bat as well. The first job of a bowler is to take wickets and second job is to make some runs but if they do their first job properly you don't need to worry about them knowing how to bat. Btw you said Rasel has lost his batting ability but he has never ever played a good knock with his bat so I dont know where you got this from.

I don't care about his batting, but when a pacer's average speed looks like that of a spinner, then it's time to drop him. Even if he's McGrath, he needs to bowl at a better pace than that. There's absolutely no excuse for picking him in a national squad. Give Shafiul and Rubel as much exposure as possible at the Intl. level before the world cup.

Rasel is useful in slow south Asian wicket not in wicket with pace and bounce he is useless there , rubel or shafiul will be useful , shafiul need s a good guide or a bowling coach to help him with line length and studying the batsmen's psychology. I am sure once we have a bowling coach we will fix those stuff

rasel's passport should be put in a lockbox so he can only play in bangladeshi wickets where is "gentle medim pace" can be appreciated. he comes from a long line of gentle bangladeshi bowlers led by none other than team manager khaled mahmud sujon.

I'm happy for Shafiul,he has some talent, maybe limited but with more practice & under Mashrafe he can get consistent.

Feel sorry for the thread opener.
Shafiul made him wrong. I don't think he would be unhappy for that.

Well I know why they picked Rasel. They wanted to give Shafiul a break after the horrific 3rd Match. Plus they also wanted to try the bench. We should be good enough to do that against IRL. Dropping one odd player shouldn't be an issue. We should've still won that game. I was hoping that they would rest Tamim and few other players. But I guess we are not good enough, and we can't win matches without our main 11 players against a minnow team.

Nazmul should have played. Rasel is too busy being a poser. "OH I have a phone and I am ON IT"
