Farhad Hossain is a longerversion player.Planning to enter in the test team.Due to his good batting in NCL FC matches he has been selected for list A matches in west indies and he will not be considered in test team for next 2 years depending on his List A performances.

Once again, the WI selectors ignore the performers in the domestic one-day competition in favour for some mediocre performers at that level....
West Indies A One Day squad
Veerasammy Permaul – Captain
Nkrumah Bonner
Carlos Brathwaite
Shamarh Brooks
Jonathan Carter
Kyle Corbin
Shannon Gabriel
Justin Guillen
Jason Holder
Delorn Johnson
Leon Johnson
Garey Mathurin
Devon Thomas
Permaul, Carter, Corbin, Gabriel, Thomas and Delorn Johnson should be nowhere near this squad....

What a sad end to the tour... our batting has become pathetic at all levels... where are the Nannu, Akram, Bulbul, Athar of today? It's astonishing that we can't find a single decent opener or middle order accumulator these days. We seriously need to get our domestic cricket more competitive...

I have said this before and will keep on saying it: Bangladesh needs a proper National Cricket Academy run by experts in batting, bowling and fielding, to develop the future talent.
I don't care that people say 'we already have an academy'. You don't. You have a name of an academy but no one has a clue how to develop those cricketers.
I always say I am available to head up a national fast bowling institute to bring through pace bowlers and educate the coaches to go out and do the same at local level.
It needs business people with money to start putting their cash where their heart is for Bangladesh Cricket.
If they don't or the Board doesn't, then there is no hope for bangladesh cricket at this level.
If anyone wants to invest in the country then cricket as the national sport is the key. I am always happy to head something up and spend regular visits helping the future become exceptional. I am just fed up talking about it, or amazed that people still wonder what's wrong.

I agree with you completely. We need a proper cricket academy to nurture and refine the talent. But BCB is content with the one they have right now. We fans don't know much about what goes on in that GP-BCB Academy. If possible, you can share your experiences or thoughts about this existing academy. Don't you think instead of opening a private academy, it will be more beneficial to improve the quality of the current one?
Ian, I think Tommy Miah's academy will be the perfect opportunity for you to work with our future players. I really hope you guys will work it out and would love to see you in our national colors again. Keep us updated about that academy!

To be honest I think BPL is a door for future players to groove. You get top class coaching staff, shake hands with WC, play in the spotlight, and enjoy the glamour as a bonus
Thats why I wanted BPL to be longer and few extra teams so that more players can get coaching under the hands of Pont, Bevan...even Law
