Default women\'s world cup.

Does anyone know if we have a women's team to represent us in the world cup being staged in South Africa next year.
After all we are a test playing nation and should be represented in every form at the highest level.
Who knows, unlike their male counter parts, they might even win some matches.
It would be interesting to know who our best batswomen/bowlers are.

I've being trying to find out the status of women's cricket in BD for some time now. It's pretty much nonexistent thanks to our mullah brethren.

i wish we had one. in this scenerio, we could look for a reliable middle order batsman thukku, batswoman from the weman team.

would they do worse than our current middle order? i guess not.

Women have their separate cricket setup which has nothing to do with men's cricket. Test status for men's team does not automatically grant test status to the women team also. In many countries, women's cricket organisation is separate from the men's cricket organisation. For instance, in India BCCI has nothing to do with women's cricket. Similar is the case for PCB. But now PCB has been directed to look after Women's cricket in Pakistan. In England, Women's cricket organisation recently merged with the ECB.

In most countries, Women's cricket struggle to find sponsors.
