We lost most of the matches this year and now we lost our head coach..
I think it is a mutual understanding. You just don't want to get sacked before your contract expires on the other hand it makes the job easy for bcb, no one can blame them about the coaching issues now.

The resignation has not been accepted as per Prothom-Alo. So he is still the head coach.

Papon should become the new HC, Akram Khan the new trainer, and Mohammad Ashraful Motin the sports psychologist slash motibhetor-in-chief. Forhad Reza should be the celebrations coach.

Regardless of the coaches performances, it is in very bad taste to have a smiley flair for his resignation.

We are wasting our time. Nothing will happen with this ultimately. He will come back with probably some incentives in his contract (money wise) and everything will be good and rosy until we get humiliated in the WC. I was never supportive of giving him him a 2 year deal until the WC just after getting promoted right away. These morons at the BCB panicked after they couldn't find a coach last year because nobody wants to coach this team. Well, just because nobody wants to coach the team, are you going to give up that quickly finding a good high profile coach? India waited for Gary Kirsten for 6-8 months. We, ourselves, took 4 months before Siddons agreed to coach BD.

Jurgensen resigns as Bangladesh coach
Shane Jurgensen, the Bangladesh coach, has resigned from his position less than a month after the World T20, where his team won just two out of seven matches. BCB officials, however, have not ruled out convincing him to stay till his two-year contract ends on February 2015.
BCB's cricket operations committee chairman Akram Khan, effectively Jurgensen's boss, has already called it an "emotional decision" and that there will be a meeting with the coach when he arrives in the country later this week.
"Just before I entered the board's emergency meeting today, I got a letter from our head coach telling us that he has resigned," Akram said. "One of the reasons he has given is that he saw in the media that some directors have spoken against him. There was no official communication with him in this regard. I didn't expect such a letter.
Jurgensen just pulled off a Mushy fit. Both of them whined and then resigned after losing games. See the pattern? He will be back. Mark my words.

And just like that hopes for a new and improved Bangladesh-shattered.
Since Akram Khan is such a big boss these days, wondering whether he has a hand in his former teammate Aminul Islam not getting a role with national team or academy.

What did I miss bro? Why are you saying "goodbye" so early? Can't you see BCB is bringing him back? Jurgensen isn't going anywhere as long as Papon and Akram "Chora" Khan are around. His resignation will get rejected. Just watch.

Here's a copy of his resignation letter. (Prothom Alo)

Trust me this is the BCB! Parle jor kore rekhe dey manush jon ke. Haat e paye dhore hoile o taka bachanor chesta korbe Jurgensen ke ferot ane. Just let the guy go already. He doesn't want to be here anymore. Plus it's getting awkward for him to work in here. This is not ideal. But the cheap shoot and corrupted bolods over there don't understand anything about professionalism.

I hope he resigns and sticks to his resignation. We don't need a nice guy coach... we need an effective coach. Our individual performances have gone down. Nasir, Tamim, Gazi, Ryad.. all these guys need a coach who can turn around their recent form. SJ isn't the man to do it and we have to find an alternative. BCB is not poor... they must have earned a bucket load of money hosting two tournaments and so if they are not greedy they can really go all out and get the Tigers a high profile coach at least for two years.

That's a huuuuuuuuggeeeeeeeee "if" bro! Ain't happening. This board has proven to be cheap from time to time (TV rights with Maasranga really BCB? Worse than GTV). Jurgensen's appointment itself was a penny-pinching and greedy endeavor. I am not going to be surprise if he changes his mind and these BCB guys exploits him as a scapegoat (negatively) and throws him under the bus again. Shane is way too nice to be sticking to his words.

First McInnes, now him! Not sure how to react. A very dramatic year for Bangladesh Cricket indeed.
