Finally a good innings from Mahmudul Hasan. We definitely have a strong middle-order, however, that Tasamul Haque fellow is a little too slow for my liking.

actually amit should be dropped from the squad. before under 19 team announced, saikat ali and amit majumder were star performer, atleast people knew their name but his performance is disappointing. I think he should be replaced with nasir Hossain (abahoni)--he is still under 19 age category.

so far, according to performances, i will say star performers are

1. anamul hauque
2. Mominul hauque
3. abul hasan
4. tasamul hauque
5. mahmudul hasan
6.noor hossain
7. shaker ahmed
8. saikat ali
9. alauddin babu
need two more solid performer, atleast can do some good contribution

Amit
is experienced but he is inconsistent enough to be dropped. Wonder why Nasir isn't there!! Probably, he'll be picked for the final team. His inclusion will boost our batting & strengthen bowling dept. Sabbir should be an automatic choice. BKSP's Asif is still under 19. Shubhagoto Hom could be a solution for top-order batting. Taposh Ghosh is within the age limit as well.

Our boys finished the series in stye. They mauled Zimbabwe by 121 runs to clicnh the series 5-0.

Amit resturned today and scored a century. A perfect use of an opportunity. He is now going to Sri Lanka.

Scorecard attached.

Default What's wrong with Ariful Haque?

Ariful Haque of Kalabagan is a shocking exclusion. Day b4 yesterday, he celebrated his 17th birthday.

He bowls medium fast (actually opens bowling alongside Shahadat Hossain) and bats regularly at no.7 and has scores of 0(1), 20(16, 2X6), 31(25, 2X4, 1X6), 21* (24, 1X4, 1X6), 13 (14, 1X4), 26 (33, 1X4, 1X6), 49 (31, 2X4, 4X6).

160 runs at an avg of 27.0 and strike rate of 111!
He also got 4 wkts so far.

This guy has 1 fc hundred & 2 fifties. Only thing that could go agt him is his record in youth int'l matches. but that happened long time back, some couple of yrs ago.

We must include him for this u-19 world cup. Apart from Abul Hasan & Alauddin, current U-19 team doesn't have any reliable seamers. his inclusion might do a world of good to this team.

Thanks a lot for the news!
Amit now has 2 centuries in u-19 ODIs and no fifty! Anamul Haque got his 1st one today. He now has 680 runs from 19 matches in -u-19 ODIs (Avg. 38.00). Tamim scored 592 in as many matches with one 100 & three 50s. Anamul has one 100 & six 50s already. He is only behind Mahmudul Hasan (845 from 45 innings) in all-time list.

4 wickets in 7 matches is not good for a bowler. He is still 17 and has 1 FC hundred, at what he started playing first class cricket? I think selectors are in better positions to evaluate these kids as the see them playing, while we can only see the scores.

just as the news came, ariful scored 76 n.o. today! assuming abul hasan & Alauddin would open the bowling, ariful can easily make up for the role of a 3rd seamer!

doesn't bother me at which age someone starts playing fc/int'l matches. stats are there to speak for every individual.

finishing with a bang Alhamdulillah. Winning by 121 is great. Zim should a learn alot from this. They have some good consistent prospects.

Great to see animal being himself. Once you destroy other bowling lineups sky is the limit.

At last winning in style. Great win boys.
You've shown your class and the huge difference once again.

234 runs opening stand! Is it our highest opening stance at any international level? I think it is. It's like a dream comes true with both the openers scored smashing centuries. Amit showed his class which was never in doubt but his consistency is the concern for the team.

Congrats young Tigers! You made us proud once again and best of luck for SL tour.

Yeah the 231 run opening partnership was amazing. You wait ages for someone to score a century and two come along at once! Great win for the cubs and a good 5-0 win.
