Captaincy screw up monitor

Lets keep watch of the glaring tactical errors here
I will begin the list with the obvious
i) bowling shahadat in the final over of the asia cup
ii)giving farhad reza the final over in the sri lanka t20
iii)asking farhad reza to bowl a bouncer off the final ball
iv) not bowling zia at all against pakistan in asia cup

please extend the list... if we reach hundred we can email to Isam to report on it

Agree, since the selectors gave Mushfiq the captaincy role in the first place..

There is always someone, try Shakib again, maybe he can handle the pressure of captaincy now, if not then Tamim or even Nasir.

I would have understood if Mushfiq was at least learning over the matches, but seems like he is repeating the exact same mistake in every match. Giving away crucial period of the matches to the opposition with suicidal moves.

6. Continuing to bowl Shahadat against PAK in Asia Cup 2014, after he kept leaking runs.
7. Same with Razzak.
8. Not consulting anyone before making decisions on the field. If Imran was not above asking others, why is he so reluctant?

Bowling spinners in the slog overs against an in-form Afridi when he was clearly struggling against our mediocre pace bowlers (especially Al Amin, who did a stand-up job despite being a limited player)...that too, only two days after Afridi took the Indian spinners to cleaners during the slog overs. Suicidal move, I say.

10. Don;t show your weakness to the opponent.

There is no crying in cricket. The team follows the captain's personality, and when the captain cry in the field, the team tend to follow the same triats. And we have seen that against PAK game. The whole team had a crying session after the game. Eke arek joner gola dhore kanna kati. If that is n ot addressed, pretty soon we would be redeculed as a team of cry babies.

^ Tamim & Nasir? I hope you are joking.. Other than shakib,mushy and mash nobody in our captains material.. Unfortunately,one of them spends more time on treatment table than on field,another one is too good to peoples liking and the last one just cant take any right decision during match..

We could have said that, if we won close matches against Pakistan, Afghanistan & lost only this game. But after watching all the matches closely, the biggest drawback of the team seems to be the captaincy.. In a match it is possible that one day batting won't click, or the bowlers will have an off day; but usually that is compensated by aggressive captaincy and innovative field placing.

In the the matches we lost in 2014, Mushfiq got rid of the pressure on the opposition batsmen by defensive field placing and bringing in the wrong bowler. He needs to finish games off and not hold back the best bowlers till the end. Even against Pakistan, people say we lost due to Afridi, but before he got to the crease Mushfiq let off the pressure by allowing a big partnership.

Finally, the worst part is, he did not learn a single thing over the 2 weeks, he repeated the exact same mistake in every match! This is unacceptable at an international level.

it is quite easy to blame it all on luck. I am sad that none of our sports reporter community could bring up these issues to mushy's attention when it was clear as broad daylight to our foreign commentators. The entire setup including Mushy lack the level of knowledge that even Russel Arnold seems to have. The whole tournament we couldn't figure out the right combination...bringing people in...throwing people out. The pain will continue in the ICC T-20. One look at the squad and we know Razzak and Reza will cost us more games.

10. Not realizing that attacking is the only way to win when defending a small total.

He did not employ a slip much of the game. Zia was getting awkward bounces. Mathews was beaten on one and gave a simple catch to first slip. Only that Mushfiqur did not have a slip in place. This wicket could have been the difference.
