Do they get paid or is it a voluntary job (like India used to get)? They need to be fired ASAP. Players who failed regularly against Uganda and Namibia shouldn't be selecting a test team.

They're paid a salary and are contracted by the BCB.

Shahdat ekta wicket to nise...amader all rounder Vice Captain ki udhdhar korse? For whom we could not take Sunny in the team? 2 wickets for sunny would have virtually closed WI run fest.

We actually don't have a good option to select pacers. Our all pacers are almost same. Until we produce quality pacers, we have nothing but regret.

Eita 5 wickets board. I have high expectation for Abul. They have another board for 10 wickets haul. That's where Abul belongs.

Every player has 1 or 2 good performances when they have played over 30 tests. His average is the true indication of his performance and he averages over 50.

Mufi, He has a hat-trick too, non? Not sure how he pulled that off against Zimbabwe, but that doesn't excuse a bowler - any bowler- a terrible performance in a match.
Rubel just mirrors him like Gazi mirrors Sakib. Only in the latter case, the pupil is 'bout to surpass the master.

Can't believe I was once Rajib's biggest fan.
Pace bowling isn't easy. You have to either have crazy innate talent (Amir, Asif, Cummins, Pattinson) or develop incredible skills (Vaas, Zaheer) to even be decent let alone good or even great. I'm not asking for that. I just expect BD pacers to at least average 40, not 80 and 100.
If the WI could play 4 pacers, why can't play 4 spinners. At least they will create the odd chance and bring the RR down and won't get tired from bowling long spells.

LOL, that coming from a man who once said we'd gain nothing if our pacers were as good as India's.

We're playing the longest version here guys. This format is the true test of a cricketers skill, temperament and character in a maximum of 15 sessions of cricket spread over 5 days. Performance in particular sessions or days doesn't make someone a hero nor a zero. It is simply too early to either deify or vilify anyone after just a single day of test cricket.
That being said, The Rajib has totally lost it, excluding his first 5-6 overs with the new ball, and RBX obviously needs more time to get his rhythm back, and a proactive coach like Ian Pont in his corner to do his best. Maybe we can simply outsource our pace bowling and some of the spin bowling as well. Almost any FC performer from India, Sri Lanka and Pakistan will do. A couple of quickies from Afghanistan may also be in contention.

I think we should seriously consider this option now as it's evident that BD doesn't have the ability to produce a decent pacer !!!

If I said nothing in absolute terms, let me now clarify and say "nothing [worthwhile]". I don't think they're 0-8 record is much better than our 0-8 record. Do you? They might win handsomely at home, but thats assuming that Nazimuddin is as good Gauti and Naeem is as good as Kohli. Ashraful was as good as SRT and Rajin/Bashar was as good as Dravid.

Arey bhai why go to India/SL/Afghanistan? Sure Hamid Hassan is better than the Hossain twain, but right in Bangladesh are at least 4-5 FC pacers who couldn't do any worse than RBX and SRK. Nazmul, Shafiul, Al Amin, Talha, and Tapash. Would any of them do worse?
Rubel and Rajib go for over 4 an over in every innings in the NCL. Of course they'll go for 5 an over on a patta against Test level bats! Assuming the above mentioned bowlers aren't any more potent than the current guys, a collective economy rate of even a moderately expensive 3.5 an over would shave 30-40 runs off the total so that you're looking at 321-4...instead of 361.

Shahadat has achieved his hard earned average of 50 after 33 tests. Rubel has gotten mighty close to the 100 mark in just his 13th test. This thread is about the continuation of their failures that they have reached this position.

You can't do any worse than averaging 80 and SR of 120. Even Ashraful's seam-ups could do that!
