Default Dhiman was our best wicketkeeping prospect

"Why did they drop me if I was the country's number one wicketkeeper?" Dhiman demanded to know.

BCB made a grave mistake if they were going to seem to drop Dhiman in favour of mushfiq, as Dhiman is miles ahead of Rahim in terms of glovework. And Dhiman seems like a more consistant batsman as well.

I expect there will flaming following this post.

let's not entertain the pathetic excuses of the weak. Mommy the teacher wasn't going to give me the top prize so i decided to switch subjects instead of Mommy the teacher didn't think i was good enough but i will make sure i demonstrate that i am. Dhiman was playing for the national team and final selections for the NZ matches have not even been started. pathetic pathetic excuses...

This is the stupendous reason... So every time a players gets dropped he needs to quite? where did he get that logic? Its more likely that he is too LOVI and couldn't resist the offer and failed to see in the long run he has to go back to cultivation when his money and ICL offer will run out.
BCB should fine him for training him all these years.

So he has a divine right to play in national team. You Dhiman lover, how many matches Dhiman won us at national or u19 level. The number is 0. I would go into Mushy's U19 achievement but Mushy won it in mother of all battle - in WC against India , the day after one of his colleague dies.
But any way, I should remind him When going gets tough, tough gets going. Mushy proved that he is tough in that WC match, in Lords, in Colombo, in premiar leaue of Dhaka.
Dhiman - the softy took the first flight when competation arrived. BTW when he was dropped. He played the last 8 ODI if I am not wrong. And before that his place was not secured. Actually in Aus series he convinced me (and other Mushy fan) that he is a better gloveman than Mushy. So hearing that he has to fight to keep his place he ran away from the field. He is simply a coward

dhiman's playing for icl has nothing to do with him being hindu or any religion or no religion at all my young bhai! you will understand, we are all equal and one! it's a beautiful thing my little brother! it's gonna be okay! dhiman is a great keeper and it's okay for him to play or not play! we should never attack his religion or sect! i can tell you this, i wouldn't like anyone judging me because of my islamic background or upbringing! hinduism is a religion and it's a beautiful religion!
love will unite us pappiok, you will see..

i think dhiman is right. if i was in his place i would ask same question. Musfiq failed lots of time as a wicketkeeper but still get chance where dhiman never get a call. this is show how great is our selectors are.....

Couldn't write it any better myself, really Dhiman's reason was the lamest of all. He was consistently given opportunities to play for the A team and Academy team and he was also not neglected from national team either. I know Mushfique is still our first choice, but with couple of good performances from Dhiman against the kiwis could easily change everyone's perception about him. But the main thing is that the squad for the upcoming series is yet to be announced and how did he know that he was not getting a call in this one, and we also still don't know Mushfique is fit to play or not. So there was every chance of Dhiman playing in the ODI's if not the tests. Without giving this sort of lame excuses he could have clearly say that he needs more money and [edit].

I agree that after seeing the Aus games, it looked that Dhiman is a better keepr, but Mushy is a better package.

A high potential guy is going to be a loser in the end. He was to touch the sky. Now it seems he won't be able even touch the roof.

Thank you. Strongly agree. We have a pool of players to pick from. Also, the core of the team is still pretty intact. At least 20 prospective players are in the academy team.

We should look ONLY forward.

He might have some more natural reasons to feel more inclined towards ICL than the BD national team.

Well the natural reason is economical, not that someone breathing at his back, as he puts it. He has hardly spent anytime in the national team to get frustrated by this issue & leave the team.

He might just be in severe financial need.
