Do u think there are too many threads opened on BC?

this forum is a lot of fun. but at the same time it's getting harder and harder day by day to keep track of the discussion because their are so many threads!!! and most of them can be easily merged and that will result in a more lively and widely participated discussion. rather what happening now is that most discussions die down after one or two pages..even though the topic is still hot! but people just move onto another similar thread and therefore all the posts on the previous thread goes to waste and nobody reads them anymore. for example...the ICL issue is still hot..but if u look through the threads relating to this issue...they are all 1 or 2 pages and doesnt last for more than 1 or 2 days. it's a shame because some of the posts here are really well crafted and lots of effort are put into writing those posts by BC members. They deserve to be read, discussed and given feedbacks to for more than 2 days.

I think BC should restructure the forum. There should be a section for all current BD players with seperate threads for each player. There should also be a "Prospects" section where people can open threads about upcoming talents. AND ALL DISCUSSION ABOUT A PLAYER SHOULD GO IN THAT THREAD. that way it's easier to track and u don't have to wonder about whether to post your thoughts about Asraful in the "Is Ashraful really bhua" thread or "What cerial does Ashraful eat in the morning" thread. :p u just post it in the ASHRAFUL thread that way everyone knows your thought about Ashraful; and u can read all the curent happenings around Ashraful before u post.
There should be another section caled something like the "General discussions" section. people can open new threads here; BUT IT HAS TO BE APPROVED BY A MOD to see if there's already a similar thread or if the topic really deserves a thread of it's own. Examples of threads in this section can be the "Coaching thread" or "What should be our batting lineup" thread.
I think these minor adjustments will make discussions on this forum more enjoyable, less confusing and lively. just my opinion...what do u guys think?

yes we do have a suggestion box..but i wanted to see what general members thought about this issue.
and yes I had to open a new thread because I've been to forums that has 15 times the members BC has but 1/10th the number of threads. and theya re easier to navigate thru and find the info u want.

Yes. It's his democratic right to open a thread and/or question why others open threads on the same topic.

But you know, once I asked the same question...without opening a thread. And somehow, I got a MOD warning!!!

but don't get me wrong...I like posting on this forum. I may have less than 1000 posts but I try to read all the posts before I post. so it bothers me when I've to jump thread to thread to mak e myself updated on all the discussion about specific topic. I know a lot of members. can relate to my problem.
the only other forum I post regularly on is the Montreal Canadiens forum...and I've seen that forum work more effeciently once they swittched to a system with rules/structire I emntioned above. I know it might be a hastle for the MODS to restructure the while thing..and enforcing them would take a lot of work too..and I don't think MODs get paid for their services.
so I can certainly see why my suggestions can't be implemented.

i think if you thought that there were too many threads in BC then i can say it's another NON-NEEDED-12th MAN-THREAD. sorry to say this. but you thought there are too many threads!!!!

There are too many thread now, but a seperate ICL subforum will solve the problem IMO. Otherwise, it was tollerable before the ICL thing came up.

There's already a request mechanism in place if you think there are multiple simultaneous threads on the same topic. Please make all such requests in the following "Cleanup" thread and the mods will take care of it:

I think we really need to put stop to the "my xi, my xii" threads.
There are just too many of them, and its just annoying.

May be all 'our selection' (which btw means jacksh**) threads should be under 1 thread.
