Yep AGC, Damn indeed! I think they should waive off Lunch or Tea or close of play when our Bashar is batting. seems to get out near a interval. Talking of which here is a neat story on Tea break from Gerald Broadribb' book 'Next Man In'

The Tea interval was introduced in Australia in about 1881- and brought to England by the Australian captain Darling when he came on tour here in 1899 and 1902. When he came again in 1905, he found that the interval was being generally adopted. It had grown up slowly without any legal backing since the days when back in the 1880s Shrewsbury would give orders for a cup of tea to be brought out to him at the wicket at a certain time. In about 1903 an effort was made to stop the tea interval alotgether, but the captains liked it as there often seemed to be a fall of wicket after tea. As was usual in those days, the umpires were never consulted on the matter.

Nice bit of history there. Still a daft thing to have "tea" in a sport. Sounds so british and snobbish.
Hey we still have Kapali and a much improved Mashud. Lets see what they can do. Omar should do better than his 1st innings too. Now thats being very optimistic. Hopefully we won't see a traditional BD batting collapse.

Daft may be so, but it flows from the character of the game though. Long, reflective, drawn out.Pretty English concept though, the Tea ie. Have read a lot in my childhood in those enidblyton stories

In Indian life and I assume in Bangladesh too, Chai is not a one single break or event, we keep having it throughout the day! so many Tshops across all parts of India, wherever u r, u r never too far from a T shop. which also translates into gossip-political, Cricket n Filmy.

Coming back to Tea in Cricket, I am quite ok with it, cos it gives one a time to stop, reflect on whats happend, after all it is just 15 minutes or so. esp if one is at ground. crowd gathers, lot of chit chat happens, discussions, just relax a bit by stretching one's legs but the mind keeps chewing on the various permutations n combinations possible in Test match.

I have come here to get some comfort. The last 3 wickets that Bashar, Kapali and Hannan threw away - it has forced me to - amar mon kharap kore dieche.

I know the reality here - at least that's what my mind is telling me - Pilot, Mushfique, Rafique, Mashrafee - they can't repeat their acts of the 1st innings, can they?

From here on, we can certainly reach the 200 run-mark, but beyond that - it will be a dream that we can't cherish to see at the moment.

Kapali's shot in particular has made me feel bad, after this series is over, we will have to look for a middle order bat, to replace Kapali in test matches.

Actually, I didn't start feeling bad after Habibul 'ASHOKA' Bashar's (58 - 5 =) 53 runs, but after watching Kapali - who did not play well in getting out in the first innings, and now again showing 'rush of blood', I mean we really didn't need it.

On the other hand, Hannan did well - his first half-century at home, he needs all the clappings that he can get, but look here - 51 (Pilot in 1st innings), 58 ( Ashoka Bashar) and 59 (Hannan) - it only suggests that our batsman are not playing well.

I mean, it would have been better if Hannan could have scored 60 or 70 odd runs, but just see - 3 fifties and yet the top score by any batsman for Bangladesh is only 59? This is not good.
