Cash-rich Tigers getting their bonus money on May 5

The Bangladesh cricket team can expect a mega cash payout on the back of their World Cup success at a ceremony on May 5.

According to the report published in New Age each Tiger will get $20,000 plus some bonus for performance around 17/18 lakh each.

Hahaha right on! I wholeheartedly agree. I say we get the money instead of the players. I'm sure they're playing cricket just for the fun of it. I wouldn't call it their profession. Plus What would they be without us?

does anyone know if this ceremony will be telecast live?? i have channel i and ntv here in the u.s. i'm sure parts of the ceremony will be on the news, but i really want to see this ceremony.

its a very good initiative... performance based bonus!!!...
i think they should have some kind of bonus for every tour, including the India tour starting next wk... players will be encouraged to perform better...

Even if it is live, do you plan to watch it live?

I don't think you would be waking up 5am in the morning to see that. Waking up for Fajr prayer can be justfied but to see a ceremony?

dats the whole reason why bangladeshi players don't play wiv passion dey play 4 money. cuz dey know dey just have to play a average game and 1 fluke win will gaurantee dem money/bonuses. look at most of the top teams u can see it in their body launguage u can see it in thier eyes da passion dey have of winning.

At least we enjoyed few moments. Wat did your country do? Head towards ur own desi newspapers n u wil find ur players get money depending on the time they can stay on the camera. if u wana find the black hole all u have 2 do is stand in front of a mirror.
