No I dont think so, rather I would suggest you to refrain from making such allegations. Lets see what BCCI does, I dont think they have given any official statement of cancellation or postponment, so no need to overreact as of now.

Moderator Warning: Either the jingoistic and obnoxious statements stop or this thread gets locked down. Enough with the India baiting! LayPerson,
Ami Ektu Khule Bolben. Ami Bharotia. Ami Kichu Bujhtesi Nah. Tumi Bharotio Shajte Pochondo Karen, Ektu Dhonnobad.
I don't know Bangla beyond what i have caught up from this forum (simple words that can be guessed or interpreted and sometimes, clarified by banglar bhais). The only other influence was a short and sweet Bangla affair from yesteryears where the person in question sent me some sweet Bangla lines. For many years i assumed those lines were from Bangladesh until someone pointed it to be from an Indian-Bengali song.
Finally, i am as close to West Bengal as to Bangladesh, and quite far-off from either culture or language. My flirtations with Bangladesh started from the time that Jamal Hassan used to write passionately on yahoo-groups. I have read lots and lots on Bangladesh freedom struggle from many different perspective (and i am sure my information or knowledge is not even a drop in the ocean compared to many others on this forum) and was finally convinced that the only true war of our century was the Bangladesh Liberation War and the only country that hasn't gotten the acclaim it deserved has been Bangladesh. I believe in lot of other things too but that is another subject for another day.
Tumi Bhul Hote Porena .
P.S: I forgot to mention that Pabna is my adopted city from Bangladesh (along with it's nice sanctuary for my follwers and proteges ).

Its good to see that you are learning something from us and increasing your Bangla Vocabulary. Here is another one for you to remember and use it when you meet someone for the first time.

LOL. You are so late, Fazal Mian.
For many years, i have been using "O Shalar bhai, Ekta Lathi Maara Dorkar" whenever i met someone for the first time. I often wondered why that didn't result into a smile and a warm handshake.
Maybe i'll try yours and see what happens

India is acting like an English land in Asia. They take too much pride in themselves. How stupid was it of them to raise claims about political crsis, when everything is so much under control and all the wrong doers are going behind the bars irrespective of the political party they belong to. The security in the last few months have been the best ever since the last 10 years atleast and terrorist acts no longer make the headlines regularly. A little bit of awarness from India would have helped. They probably did not keep track of what is going on here and raised a garbage to attract more attention. I hope Bangladesh wins the series and tell them that we are not to be underestimated. I guess the caretaker government here has maintained security better than the Indian government despite being less advanced than them.

ATTN Mods and admins: This thread is only going to create more friction b/w BD and Indian members. Can I make a suggestion to have this thread locked for good?
It's funny how the news started circulating a long time ago, and it's still one of the active threads. Get over it guys.

I agree with you 100%. Plus it is more of a political issue.

DJ, good call about the Bangladeshi freedom struggle. Unfortunately the genocide done by the Pakistani army during our struggle is still not as well recognized as we would like it to be. It's like hidden history. Hopefully that will change soon.

How many people did you greet with this line? Man I would love to see you greet Orpheus like this. The reaction could and I am sure it would turn out to be the funniest in the history of mankind. Man I miss orpheus's posts here in the forum. That kid is so funny.

Gangulyda - Let the mods worry about what should be locked or not. You focus on stayin within board rules and practicing good netiquette.

Lets make some piches in the No Man's Land. Have some neutral grounds around Tin Bigha Corridor or something. Or we can ask Myanmar to make some venue so we can play there..not a bad business prospect for them.
