from DS:

But veteran opener Javed Omar came up with the most entertaining comment when he held his newborn son for the first time. "I hope he'd be a better stroke-maker than his father," said Javed, often criticised for slow batting.

Well, it may be that Ash got his date in London cancelled on the last moment.
Some one must have told him that his name is flying all around with regards to captaincy job. Any thing could happen in next few days. Lets wait and see

Is that ChaCha extending his hand for a shake?

I like the 'tip' in the child's forehead --reminds me of my childhood photos -- we don't see those anymore

someone tell Lala and Asha not to get into the same 'mala' -- looks like we have a shortage of flowers.

me too!

JO our most loved/hated player! Its a shame that he didn't have one or two more stokes other than his trademark "khucha" and "Jharu" shots!

I remember Tehsin bhai mention this once. He said, JO is a gentleman, and he is pleasant to talk to. He has a pitch at his place which his parar polapaan damaged when they were upset with him, but he didn't even yell at them or anything. He simply called them and talked nicely, and they all felt sorry and (as far as I remember Tehsin bhai saying this) they even repaired it (? correct me if I'm wrong here).

Anyway, the fact is, JO as a player didn't get the luxury that our young guns got. He played cricket professionally at a later stage in life. Given that, I would say he's an excellent talent, and is one of those talents that even he himself failed to find in himself. It takes a man to admit his own faults. And when he commented this in front of the reporters when he saw his newborn for the first time, it only goes to prove what I just articulated here.

Hahaha...

Who knows may be someday JO's son could become a true SLA all-rounder.

what's up with Dav's pissed off attitude though? Was he upset we were showing too much love to our players for only winning 1 game in the super 8s (this is small time for Dav seeing as how he has won the World Cup before). On the news, they showed Dav shoving reporters away as he hurriedly left the press conference.

I really hope he's focused for the Bangladesh-India series.

Kabir, I believe he fixed it himself. He is a genuinely nice and friendly guy. He does his best in helping youngstars as well. Passionate about our cricket. No matter what you say about his 'talent', he tries his hardest for his country. Hopefuly that will rub off on all of the players.

We've got a good team, we just need to work on our temperament.

Thanks for clarifying it Tehsin bhai. Actually, if you never met him, we probably wouldn't have known this much, and would always take him wrong.
